I just used some steel tubing and longer screws on the original door hinge so it's moved out flush with the fender. The fiberglass extention they give you with the kit is useless.

My 50mm over's came with a gas door filler part, but it looked kinda funny... Flybert made some custom deal to use his stock gas door, I think it looks perfect. A quote from his build is below.

Oh yeah, and we flushed up the gas cap. Welded an extension to the tab and used longer bolts and a custom washer type thingamajig. For it to line up perfect we would have to slot is a little more and bend the whole thing but it looks alright to me.

I say extend it to be flush or change the way it opens.

If you have to customize the door and the way it opens, make a suicide door.orHave it open up and down,as opposed to opening to the side.
