+12 will look sex on a s13. i used to hate on low offsets cause you have to stretch tire, but f*** it, you cant get that concave look any other wayJRPS13 wrote:those are freshnot feelin the offset.. but all in all really nicei imagine those are pretty damn light hey
show me a "before" pic so i know remember what youre working with now.heartofaskyline wrote: maybe now MGE will approve of my wheel fitment.
i was thinking a 215/40 up front. i know thats alot of stretch but i really dont want to pull the hell out of my slivia fenders, there brand new and not really replaceable. 235/245 40 sounds gravy for the rear .mrgreeneyes wrote:

and im honored to be your approver
tire size ideas?
on stock bodyish...
225/40/17 front, 235/40/17 rear. the front is a little tricky to track down, but it can be done. rears are gravy to find.
youll hate 45 series... dont bother... take it from someone that made that mistake...
i plan on those EXACT sizes once i burn the current ones off. local S chassis dudes run that and it looks PERFECT...
just my 2 cents

s***ty grip is no fun. F that. lol. i guess ill have to go 225/40. that sounds good. i wonder how much difference a 245/40 and a 245/45 are....mrgreeneyes wrote:

s***ty grip and the sidewalls will HATE you.
they fit well for the front if you are slammed, but i can EASILY fit 225's under OE metal with NO fender work.
rears, i fit 245/45/17 RT615's on 17x9.5 +15mm with -2* of camber with EASE... and a healthy 3/4" pull. so 235 with baby roll will be FINE on your wheels
i think there called Grid "x's". not sure thats just what chris at Discount tire told melocoluna825 wrote:I love these grids. I have Grid Offroads These are Grid Drifts ?? right.
chill bro im not trying to say your s*** sucks at all. I LIKE THEM, they are the exact size im looking for and they look gorgeous on s-chassis.heartofaskyline wrote:lol. even if they do break. who cares. ill just buy another one for 152 bucks. you realize i can buy 3 rotas for every one "rays" wheel. lol. ill take my chances.
iv read it, thats why i was concerned as to why rotas get so much hatesimmode1 wrote:
I see if I can find the NASIOC thread where SubyDude talks about this. He toured their manufacturing plant and is the largest Rota distributor in the U.S....
haha. im not hating. lol, im drunk, nothing but love brotha! ya you have to go in and have them order them for you. you prob wont get the same price as mine, but there still gonna be cheaper than that dude on zilvia is selling them for. i could only get them in the time attack finish. i guess thats all rota has is stock right now. rotas get hate because people waste there money on real "wheels" and hate on us guys that get the same look for 1500 bucks lessZootedS13 wrote:

I guess I should bookmark that thread for future reference...SubyDude wrote:Yes JWL/VIA marks can be incorporated in to the mold easily to fool people however that is NOT the case with Rota wheels. PAWI (company that manufactures Rota wheels) has been in producing wheels for 35+ years. They have the proper equipment to test their wheels and JWL/VIA employees often inspect this equipment to make sure everything meets their standards. A wheel can be JWL/VIA certified and not have a JAWA sticker, as this is the case with wheels from BBS, etc..
I've discussed this topic many times with Michael Rojas (owner of Rota wheels) and here is a quote from him
"JAWA is Japan Alloy Wheel Association. They are an association for Japanese Wheel Makers. Sort of like the SEMA. We were once a member of JAWA in the past when we had a office in Japan. It was quite expensive since there was a royalty of .30 cents per wheel that we produced. In exchange, you had the JAWA sticker with the serial number on the wheel.
JWL is the wheel licensing division of the VIA which is the Japan Vehicle Inspection Authority of Japan. In order for you to have a car registered in Japan, all the aftermarket items on the vehicle must be VIA certified."
The majority of OEM wheels in the Philippines are also made by PAWI. When I was in the Philippines last week we all attended a large car show and I recognized many of the wheels on these cars. Toyota, the largest car manufacture in the world even had some wheels on their 2009 models that are made by PAWI/Rota
Here's an up to date certificate from JWL/VIA certifying the equipment used at PAWI meets their standards (linking since this is a large image)

Picture of the testing facility from Rota's site, I have some of our own shots that I took last week while at Rota. I will be posting them up next week when we upload the rest of the pictures from our trip.
