+12 will look sex on a s13. i used to hate on low offsets cause you have to stretch tire, but f*** it, you cant get that concave look any other way

show me a "before" pic so i know remember what youre working with now.

and im honored to be your approver

tire size ideas?

on stock bodyish...

225/40/17 front, 235/40/17 rear. the front is a little tricky to track down, but it can be done. rears are gravy to find.

youll hate 45 series... dont bother... take it from someone that made that mistake...

i plan on those EXACT sizes once i burn the current ones off. local S chassis dudes run that and it looks PERFECT...

just my 2 cents

Have them, but in bronze same size and everything, clears Z brakes no

prob, not so much on the light side, tires are expensive like always,

running 225/40, i know weird huh, a little roll on the fenders would help

a lot

i was thinking a 215/40 up front. i know thats alot of stretch but i really dont want to pull the hell out of my slivia fenders, there brand new and not really replaceable. 235/245 40 sounds gravy for the rear .

215s up front sucks... ill walk out to my car and show you. ugh.

s***ty grip and the sidewalls will HATE you.

they fit well for the front if you are slammed, but i can EASILY fit 225's under OE metal with NO fender work.

rears, i fit 245/45/17 RT615's on 17x9.5 +15mm with -2* of camber with EASE... and a healthy 3/4" pull. so 235 with baby roll will be FINE on your wheels

Looks like I'm late to the Rota party... Congrats on the new wheels. I know Pandapants, myself and a few other ppl had been waiting for these sizes to come out. So now, they're offering these 17x9+12 and 18x9.5+15, both in four lug fitment. P45R's are officially old news now! lol! Rota is showing us alot of love, guys...

Oh, and I keep telling ppl you can order Rota's from Discount Tire but they never believe me! lol

ok im not trying to be a d!ck whatsoever so ill start by saying those rims are sexy as hell, but i dont see any "ewww rota" flamage going on so i have to ask. has rota shaped up their image? i heard they break (not often but easier than others) and if i type in rota in google search i get this

but then i see cars like this running them witch without a doubt, put them through hell. AND i read that rota makes Toyota oem wheels as well

sorry for thread jack, i just want some nice 4 lug rims until i get a better job and all the "rota sucks" flamage is the only reason i havent ordered them yet

Zooted, there are alot of purists out there who really hate replica parts and do there damnedest to discredit them. And it's understandable as to why.

But if you've ever read threads on the Subaru forums from Subydude, you'd know that there is absolutely no significant problem with Rotas. They actually produce OEM wheels for major car manufacturers like Toyota. And their quality certifications are all top notch.

I see if I can find the NASIOC thread where SubyDude talks about this. He toured their manufacturing plant and is the largest Rota distributor in the U.S....

haha. im not hating. lol, im drunk, nothing but love brotha! ya you have to go in and have them order them for you. you prob wont get the same price as mine, but there still gonna be cheaper than that dude on zilvia is selling them for. i could only get them in the time attack finish. i guess thats all rota has is stock right now. rotas get hate because people waste there money on real "wheels" and hate on us guys that get the same look for 1500 bucks less

Heartofaskyline is kickin the knowledge... lol

Here you go Zooted... It was actually an EVO forum I was thinking of where Subydude discussed Rota's quality credentials:

http://forums.evolutionm.net/e....html
SubyDude wrote:Yes JWL/VIA marks can be incorporated in to the mold easily to fool people however that is NOT the case with Rota wheels. PAWI (company that manufactures Rota wheels) has been in producing wheels for 35+ years. They have the proper equipment to test their wheels and JWL/VIA employees often inspect this equipment to make sure everything meets their standards. A wheel can be JWL/VIA certified and not have a JAWA sticker, as this is the case with wheels from BBS, etc..

I've discussed this topic many times with Michael Rojas (owner of Rota wheels) and here is a quote from him

"JAWA is Japan Alloy Wheel Association. They are an association for Japanese Wheel Makers. Sort of like the SEMA. We were once a member of JAWA in the past when we had a office in Japan. It was quite expensive since there was a royalty of .30 cents per wheel that we produced. In exchange, you had the JAWA sticker with the serial number on the wheel.

JWL is the wheel licensing division of the VIA which is the Japan Vehicle Inspection Authority of Japan. In order for you to have a car registered in Japan, all the aftermarket items on the vehicle must be VIA certified."

The majority of OEM wheels in the Philippines are also made by PAWI. When I was in the Philippines last week we all attended a large car show and I recognized many of the wheels on these cars. Toyota, the largest car manufacture in the world even had some wheels on their 2009 models that are made by PAWI/Rota

Here's an up to date certificate from JWL/VIA certifying the equipment used at PAWI meets their standards (linking since this is a large image)

http://www.wheeldude.com/galle...n.jpg

Picture of the testing facility from Rota's site, I have some of our own shots that I took last week while at Rota. I will be posting them up next week when we upload the rest of the pictures from our trip.
I guess I should bookmark that thread for future reference...
