We got those pictures from Taiwan somewhere.KoukiS14 wrote:Where did you purchase the tent?
Hi!Fueler: I knew what you meant that let me felt embarrased.fueler wrote: You can get a 2" suspension lift (springs) at http://www.4x4parts.com
If I did the math correctly, you could do a 2" suspension lift and then add 31" tires. If I'm correct, the tires should give a .75 inch lift, right? I may be incorrect. But hey, almost three inches of lift, unless I screwed my math up.wrj888 wrote:

Thanks for your help. That's right what I want to look for.
I will try to find a 2" suspension liftt from 4x4parts.
Oh hell you don't need 2" of lift to fit 31's. I have no lift and 31 x 10.5 BFGs (but I can fit 31 x 12.5 just not on my stock rims). With the lift you can fit 32" tires with just a little trim job.KoukiS14 wrote:

I had 32" BFG's on my stock suspension QX4, no lift, and A LOT of trimming. pic for prooffukinitupagain wrote: With the lift you can fit 32" tires with just a little trim job.
I I am going with the lift but I wouldn't stop at simply 31's, is all I am sayin'. God willing I hope to get a subframe drop & throw under some 33's maybe 34's or if I could still get enough flex 35's.KoukiS14 wrote:Ahh I know you don't NEED a lift for 31s, but I figured why not look at it from the standpoint of a bit extra height as well
The 32" BFG's had pros and cons. The pros are mostly for offroading, while the cons are more related to street driving. Pros: -Added ground clearance -3 Ply sidewalls make for an incredibly strong and durable off roading tire -Great for Baja and desert sands -Good offroad tire for dry weather, rocks, and sand -Relatively quiet off-road tire (compared to any M/T) Cons -3 ply sidewall and durable construction makes a HEAVY tire, results in poor street handling characteristics -car handles like a large boat-acceleration and braking are diminished (in my 3.3L R50) to the point of being dangerous (in the 10k miles I had the BFG's, i had one accident which would have been avoided with lighter/smaller tires) -Terrible when you add water. I strongly recommend against BFG AT if you plan on hitting mud or snow I ran the 32" BFG's for only 10k miles and I got so sick of the poor acceleration, switched back to my 30.5" Mud terrains (single ply) which are much lighter and agile, the Mud tires do incredible in mud and snow, but easily dig down into the soft Baja sand which is sorta a problem....SnowSurfLax wrote:Hey Fueler,
How'd that drive? Was it a ***** with the shift points changin on ya? Did you notice an increase in hwy mpg?
Thinking of upgrading tire size when I get my next set.
