so me and a buddy were driving around today in my 89 s13 and we were talking about motor swaps

has anyone ever tried to put a 4g63t mitsu engine in a 240sxbecause i was thinking that it would be an insane motor chasis combinationand i would love to hear what you guys think

The 4g63T is designed for FWD, this means the manifold faces the wrong direction for RWD. I dont know who gave you the idea that a 4G in a 240 would be cool, but they need to put down the pipe/bottle. Im sure with enough money/time you could make one fit, but its just going to crankwalk/put a hole in itself/blow its headgasket/burst into flames/or just generally fall apart, because guess what, even though its in a 240, its still a 4g. I used to own a DSM, ive built and driven some really insane DSMs, I learned my lesson, get as far away as you can, unless of course, you're a glutton for punishment.

and to answer the transmission ? i was thinking of an s15 6spd just get a adapter plate made but this was all just therory i also thought of a rotary out of an fd but like i said im probably gonna go with the ca18det to be different, not that it matters im the only s13 in area so im already different

Rotory, now there is a good idea, wankel's are awesome, stay away from the FDs though, they are far too finicky. If I were going to do a rotory in an S I would use a carburated series 4 13B, but thats just how I roll.
