I'm in need of some good Rube Goldberg type contraption videos that would be suitable for a 6th grade classroom. The only rub is that Youtube and similar sites are blocked by the school computers, so they either have to be on a company/educational site, or downloadable.

I already have the Honda Cog commercial and the ones here: http://www.baynhamtyers.com/index.html

Anyone got any other suggestions?

I dunno if this site will work for you, but it's a good video.

Mythbusters did a show on this. Since that was done through Discovery, I'd call it educational.

Google youtube downloader. It's a free program and you can save and convert the video from swf to wmp. Should be able to play it in the classroom then.

Check the Youtube Honda Accord commercial with the Rube Goldberg theme using only car parts.

You've probably seen it and I'm amazed no one else posted it.

Didnt the OP already say that he had that one in the OP, or are you talking about a different video?

Here's a link for the youtube downloader I use. I can guarantee that it is virus free and works flawlessly.

I used to have a 5 minute long compilations of clips like this. The music is the best part. They say a phrase in Japanese at the end of them. My wife told me what they were saying, but I dont remember.

That's pretty cool. I'll try to see if I can get it past the school's filters or download it.

I dont think so. The place I downloaded it from led me to believe that they were all created by college students.

Wow I came to this thread to post that video...

Easily the most epic one I have ever seen. I love how they implement music into it.

Holy crap that one was epic. That's the difference between some geek in his parent's house with too much time on his hands and a professional production company. Wonder how long it took allll those people to set it up, test it, etc.
