Adam is playing the Houdini trick on me again....he seems like he "disappear" and doesn't return my messages that I left him on his work phone, cell phone, and emails. He told me he was getting money together to get my refund like 2 weeks ago so I can order my S15 conversion from another person, but havent receive my money yet. This really pisses me off.

This is a useless post, but im just amazed that all of these people have so much money invested with Afterdark and there is no help to answer questions and follow up with things, etc. Atleast let them know something even if it's bad news, it's standard business practice IMHO.

wow, im really glad that adam didnt take my money.

maybe he should give people their money back, if he can afford to.

i mean his business revolves around 240sx's, yet he hasnt posted in 8 days? Thats bull****. i dont care how busy he SAYS he is, you make time for people who have given you THOUSANDS of dollars.

not all of us were fortunate to even come across NICO before we got involved w/ afterdark , i just searched for shops that mainly dealt w/ 240 swaps Afterdark happened to come up and had fairly good prices and had the option to get everything i wanted from one place so i did . I didn't find this forum till a good bit after all moneys had been transfered and i didn't realize how long this was going to take until i had already paid hundreds of dollars to ship my car and other parts to the shop. At this point i'd rather wait to have my car finished than wait to get my money back and then pay to have everything shipped AGAIN only to wait for the work to be done somewhere else

lol... I know.... I cant believe it either. I also cant believe how many people (including moderators locking threads) back these sort of guys up and tell others how they should put up with it.

I saw this coming a looong time ago.

With good intentions or not.... if someone held $3k - $10k of my money hostage... I'd be paying them a personal visit.

this is total insanity.

Good luck guys and hopefully you have learned a valuable lesson:Dont pay for something unless you can see it and pick it up the moment you pay for it. Dont give someone a deposit unless they were reffered by personal friends or family.

Adam, you should NEVER have taken these guys money, you f'd up man.....good luck.

This isn't really in adams defense but just sort of a note so people know he is alive.I bought a motorset from him and it didn't come with a PS pump, I got ahold of him last week and had a PS pump to me within the week.

just got off the phone with adam, he was switching servers and hasnt gotten email until today he said. he called me back and we got everything straight over the phone. i guesss you guys should be getting an email or call back soon. just given you guys an updated

Blah blah blah, theres always an excuse. Sorry to inform you but there is absolutely NO excuse for the shady business practices Afterdark has been demonstrating. I don't care if your shop is on fire, you call customers to inform them of things and keep them up to date, etc. At the least take calls and answer E-mail in a timely fashion. Especially those who have thousands upon thousands of dollars invested with you and particularly because it's a new company at hand. I could go on and on but I am just going to stop here. This kind of stuff sucks and frankly it's a shame.

**Edit**I have never done business with afterdark, my post is based solely upon reading these forums over the past year and being familar with the situation. Strickly my opinion and should not be taken otherwise. I have no problems personally with Adam or his company.

Dude didn't you read the the other thread. They start banning people because people who arent customers cant have a "saying" in these kind of conversations :rolleyes Pretty shady rule. Adam finally contacted me too, but the endless excuses will never end.

Yeah I am trying to get ahold of Adam as well. My car is sitting in his shop and the bank that I got the loan from for the car back in January is starting to get pretty mad because I don't have the car titled in Indy because it hasn't been here yet. Long story short the bank gave me until the end of August to have the car licensed, titled and registered or they will call up the loan and make me pay it all at once. The car was supposed to be here today (Sunday 8/24/03) at the latest and SURPRISE I don't have the car nor have I heard anything. I really DO NOT have the rest of the loan to give to the bank all at once and I don't know what I am going to do. ADAM if you are reading this give me a call on your cellphone while on the way to Indy. Thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone has ever been banned for making statements about any shop. *How* it's said, if done offensively and repeatedly, is grounds for banning regardless of what the topic is.

The rule was devised entirely as a way to cut down on the number of threads (many useless) dedicated to a single subject. If the mods here were really sticking up for AfterDark, do you really think we would allow customers--especially unhappy ones--to post here at all? Of course not. The rule is in place. We have our reasons. Please abide by it and keep all posts civil, if not respectful.

PGT892: OMFG!! that sucks!!! I would drive down there with a U-Haul at least just to pick up the car and get it titled, and then take it back to him or whatever. It shouldn't cost more than a few hundred dollars and I am sure Adam would be more than happy to pay it

Thanks. There are two reasons I haven't gotten a U-Haul yet (which may be my only option) 1) I was told the car would be here by now 2) I am either at work or school every day so I don't have the time for the 6.5 hour drive, again.

NICO is not your personal bithcing ground... everyone has heard of the stories and the facts. I'm not covering for him but I'm tired of listening to the same old same old. If you got an issue with him, solve it there. Can't get ahold of him, call a lawyer.
