Here is my list that has to be done before I go. I am going to keep it updated. If I have it up here, I am more likely to get it done sooner.

350z seats mounted (one done this weekend)(drivers done on 1/18)New trans need to go inExhaust needs to be modified to fitFinish downpipe (DONE)Install intake/exhaust manifold change MAF location and plumbing for forward facing intakeGet tunedInstall methanol kit (DONE)AlignmentNew tires for my 18s, and a pair of DRs.

Those are the important ones

Hey guys if I am Able to go Im hauling my car on the trailer. I never leave home without it LOL!!! But if I don't break and you guys break something axles, drive shaft, LOL or even the transmission I will let you guys borrow anything you need to get back home!

But i Will prob be leaving the line harder than any of you with my new launch control and 11.50 M:T Street slicks! I have already replaced my axles once, There good for 14 passes.

240z4u- Sounds like you have as much work as me!!

Also the stock r200 axles one side is longer. I think the driver side is. But when I replaced mine one was about 1/4 inch longer.

Thanks man, thats a very generous offer!

What has your car run?

Evan

Are you running ET street radials, or non radials? I hear the non radials get scary at speeds (they feel like they are floating).

I have ran the best of 7.80 @ 91 in the 1/8 mile. I have never been to a 1/4 mile track with the car. This is without my launch control and on 10lbs of boost with 112 octain fuel.

I am running the street radials. I had Actual BF goodyear slicks on the car but it was getting stupid Sideways with me topend. I nearly took out the guard rail 3 times so I tossed those tires b/f I crashed my car.

Seems like you and I may end up having the same tires... cool.

Now get out to the garage instead of chit-chatting LOL!

Evan

I finished the passenger side 350z seat, not so happy with the height. I may take it back out and look for something different. I am too damn tall to have a sunroof.

i'm guessing you were running radial fronts with bias ply rears? if you were that is very risky and you will risk losing control at higher speeds. good thing your car isn't that fast and it was only 1/8

After googling the problem, major oversteer due to different reaction times of the sidewalls.

Apparently you weren't hooking up with those tires? My buddy has an almost new set of 225 bfg drag radials. Will these be wide enough? I was considering the 255 ET streets.

Ya I was running radial fronts, I have run that combo before. Its not as risky as everyone lets on for it to be. But I had some 17 inch experimental drag slicks I was testing out. They were only 8 inches wide and I had them mounted on 8 inch rims. That was the bad combo! They needed to be on 6 inch or 7 inch rims. I was just experimenting tho!!

But I have a totally different suspension setup im looking forward to trying out.

different sidewall reaction times makes the car very uneasy and very hard to save at high speeds. i have run the combo and felt it a little but i had the tires in the rear aired all the way up. it is much more pronounced if you air them down properly.

255 ET street (radial) is a good amount of tire for 3-400 hp. personally, with radials i'd probably want to run a narrower tire and let them slip a little. radials shock the driveline a lot more than bias ply.. esp w/ manual trans. ideally if you want to hook hard i would go with a bias ply setup (on all 4 tires)

Well maybe I will wait to see what tires to get by dyno'ing my car first.

Thanks for the clarification, that was the feeling I had gotten about the car getting squirrly.

Sounds like a blast! Definitely let us know how it turns out! I would be interested in going next year.

I'm trying to get fully prepped for the AMS day @ Autobahn in Joliet IL.

Evan, how do you like that Z33 seat? I'm looking for a new drivers seat..

Z33 seat is excellent EXCEPT that nobody mentioned that if you line up the front of the rail with the stock seat "foot" that it won't slide back as far (about 4") its almost too far forward in its rearmost setting for me.

Otherwise? very comfortable and I am happy with it! If i had mounted it futher back it would be better.

Thanks guys, should be a blast. I cannot wait to get out of this frozen tundra.

Weather could not have been better. I made a major mistake when tuning and never did a 1=3rd gear pull on the street. I tuned every gear from a roll. It was going so rich after shifts it was rediculous.

Netted an embarrasing 13.6@110mph. On ET streets, street tires was nothing but tire spin through the top of 3rd.

I was also blowing out spark in the higher RPMs. I am going to do a coil swap.

I know what I gotta do now.

Otherwise? Car ran great, the group that turned out was great! I can't ***** about a single thing!
