Patriots have a lot of weapons... sometimes really small weapons (Woodhead and Edleman... even Welker is small). If Brady is on his game, it'll be tough to stop them.

Gronk is an animal, Ill give you that. I actually took him in my fantasy playoff challenge and I will be receiving 4x regular points for him this week. As for the others...

Its going to be an amazing game. But I really do feel that its coming down to defense and the Patriots dont have it. Yes, the Giants secondary is weak but that doesnt matter when you have 4 DEs rushing Brady. This past week's Inside the NFL episode on Showtime featured arguably the best pass rusher of all time (as well as admitted drug addict and John), NY Giant Lawrence Taylor. He stated more than once that when the Giants put the big 4 (Umeniyora, Tuck, Kiwanuka, and my man JPP) up front, there is no one better. If its coming from him, you better believe it...or he will rape you and snort your remains. Giants have weapons too. Cruz, Mannigham, Nicks ring a bell? Yeah...this is a going to be a high scoring game, mainly in the air.

The last few minutes of Inside the NFL was very funny with Lawrence Taylor and Phil Simms exchanging stories. The Giants Defensive front 4 is uber tough and finally all healthy which has contributed to their great late season run. I see a great game coming up, but with both teams from the northeast, I don't see it as a national ratings blockbuster.

I dont care about ratings, I just want another SB trophy.

The stories at the end were hilarious. When Phil was talking about LT coming to his house at 5:00 AM to steal golf gear, refuse food, and play golf for 16 hours, all I could think about was "Cocaine is a hellauva drug".

The 2007 game was a GREAT game. A freaking nail biter right to the end (not to mention me SCREAMING and the TV, assuming the refs could hear me asking why they stopped the clock for no reason).

The G-men are nothing to shake a stick at for sure... and I'm worried about Gronk's health. He took quite a hit last weekend and sat out a few downs... granted he is a BEAST.

Gronk is a warrior, kinda reminds me of Mark Bavarro. Combination moose and bulldozer with soft hands. Looked like he screwed up his ankle, but he doesn't seem the type to let that stop him.

He didn't practice yesterday, but that doesn't say much a week and a half out. I expect him to play, maybe not as many snaps as usual but he will be in there when they need him.

Unconfirmed reports are stating high ankle sprain with ligament damage. But take a look at the top transaction in this link.

Could just be a precaution I suppose.

I'm going to bet that he doesn't practice until min next week and then he'll start exercising it again.
Hopefully he's there to spring down the field and leap for a touchdown or two. At worse, he's going to be on the field as a distraction for the defense to double cover so Brady can nail another target.

:chuckle: It was a great game...again. It was a very happy evening at casa Bubba.

Kelly Clarkson didn't butcher up the national anthem too much with vocal gymnastics, and NBC was extremely kind filming her from the neckline up. I'm guessing that was because from the neck down, she's shaped like William "the Refrigerator Perry." Jesda, WTF is going on with her long straight hair wig? Did she eat Morticia Addams?

NBC was also very flattering with mostly distance shots of Madonna. She can still get around on stage pretty well, but I think she would have scared small children with closeups. My wife and I disagreed about Madonna. She liked the show and music. I said meh. NFL guys would only be okay with the special effects, because I'm sorry but straight men just don't hum songs like Vogue.

And Faith Hill is still looks good. :naughty:

Thoughts?

I hate the Patriots sooooo much. Always good to see them lose. I hope Tom Brady cried himself to sleep in Belichick's arms.

Congrats to the Giants and their fans. Great game.

And I made off with $50!

Did you see the slack line dancer during Madonna's show? He's Sketchy Andy Lewis and that dude is both talented and a bit nuts. But very entertaining. Check out his stuff on youtube...
