It looks pretty sweet for the price but i contacted the company about warranties and returns and they basically shut me down saying it was as is no returns and no warranty. So anyone here using one of their gauges???

Spend a little more(like 10-15$) and get STRI gauges. They carry a 1 year manfg warranty.

Defi gauge knock off..... cheap gauges are not as accurate as the real ones.... you get what you pay for. Just because the gauge moves doesnt mean its right

Im guessing that you have done a side by side comparison with a um... Defi?

I stated they are Defi knock offs and then i stated that cheap gauges arent as accurate as the "more expensive/ name brand gauges"

against Defi no i haven't done a side by side... but i have had stock, cheap no name/ ebay brand, and autometer gauges side by side just for s***s and giggles...

FYI: The stock gauges suck, cheap gauges are off usually 10% or more and the autometer was off 5% or less when testing coolant temp VS an IR temp gun. That being said, when using an OBD II scan tool the computer data is spot on to the IR gauge.

you guys can use what ever you like in your car, i mean its your car. But i dont like my car to look like i shopped at the flea market.... I LOL @ ppl with cheap parts.

Lonismo, i have stock gauges in my car but my camaro had a full autometer gauge cluster that i custom made to replace my stock cluster.

BTW glowshift is not ebay.

Autometer is the company that started the whole aftermarket gauge scene and your saying there inaccurate and cheap.

I had autometer and glowshift side by side the readings were just as accurate. So i didnt just make a guest that they are accurate. Im speaking from a tested point of view.

Now one thing i can agree with you on is how long will it last, i highly doubt it will out last autometer. I just wanted all of my gauges the same.

I just said i ran autometer... i never said they were inaccurate.

and you prolly didnt "guest", but you might be "guessing"

-----------------

A good way to look at it... when professional race teams start running MOOKEEH, glowshift, etc brand gauges... ill think again about using them. but there must be a reason they dont use them.

If Greddy, Hks, Nardi, And KYB and Glowshift and efi specialist is ebay, then yea its a ebay car.

And stop sounding so dumb there is nothing wrong with ebay.

My brothers car is still better than your pos. Your a hater cause your car is a POS. Thats why you try to point out things on other people's cars cause in fact you have nothing done to yours but some junk yard brakes. That are cheap.

Does glowshift even make an electric boost gauge? I want wires through the fire wall, not a capillary tube.

Defi gauges are a NAME. Its like spending 800 bucks for a greddy manifold when the isis manifold is the same cast and less than $200.

I used to have an autometer cobalt electric boost gauge that was pretty sick. I may just go shell out 200 bucks for another one.

SYKE.... Greddy manifold vs Freddy manifold there are differences but the average street tuner isnt going to notice them, IE the outside looks the same... what about the inside... IE casting imperfections... slight fitment issues..

when it comes to moving parts and what not, theres a BIG difference... you arent paying for the name only. you are paying for precision.

oh and FYI manual gauges are a million times more reliable and less susceptible to innacuracy.... say you install your electric boost gauge and there a slight resistance in the wiring or a bad ground... it says you are at 5psi so you turn the boost up and pop.... bye bye head gasket you were already at 10psi but the resistance caused the gauge to read wrong.

what if the wiring or fuse on your elec temp gauge fails and you think your car is taking forever to warm up when its actually overheating....

according to enjuku racing the isis manifold and the greddy one is the same cast and on a flow bench they are identical. Enjuku is a reputable shop.

I do however agree about the moving parts thing. I would never buy an ebay turbo. But off brand fans, radiator, intercooler, oil cooler, oil relocation kits, etc... They are the SAME as the big name items. My cxracing (ebay) intercooler kit and radiator have never given me problems. SO.... eaby isnt so bad.

And I know what my boost is set at, I would know if my gauge was misreading and any shorts or grounding issues is due to the installer, not the device itself.

just talked to this guy http://kpr.craigslist.org/pts/1589689658.htmlbuying it tomorrow for $150.

#1 most people (i hope) arent that stupid. they would know their car should be warm by a certain time

#2 just because a gauge doesnt work doesnt make a car magically overheat. e-fan not kicking on then maybe.

#3 the gauges have f***ing lights so obviously if its not lit up its not working

with that being said, id stray away from that gauge if the seller shut you down when you asked about being warranted. if they sell a brand new gauge "as is" and offer no warranty, id find another gauge. fyi i bought my autometer gauges for ~50 each at a local shop.

nope, electric. iirc they are the ultralite ones. my car came with an oil pressure one so i just went ahead and stuck with those so my gauges would match.

I got the tinted version i think they are sweet.

I already had boost and oil pressure but i tested them side by side with the autometer, cause i was skeptical. but the were having the same reading so i ordered the resst of them.

Water, oil temp.

What series and guages do you have from them.
