First month or so, I had no idea that my 94 G50 had wheel and seat position memory. I let my dad borrow the car, and he must've tripped it when adjusting the seat. Now it works great.

It's all I ever use - Who needs yet another remote hanging on your key ring?

BTW, for those who haven't discovered it yet, turning the key in the 'unlock' direction twice in quick succession unlocks ALL the doors - very convenient when you're hauling a full crew.

How about having your side mirror button turned to the passenger mirror & putting the car in reverse. That drops the passenger side mirror to show the curb so you don't curb rash your wheel while backing up. Put the car in any other gear & the mirror returns to its original position. My friends didn't believe that one until I showed it to them. They also couldn't believe that my 96 Q has power head rests & that there were release button for the front visors. These cars were way ahead of their time with certain features.

And before anyone with a 90-93 posts "mine doesn't work" - we didn't have this little feature

You can auto-move the driver side mirror too ... just flip the switch the other way!

What's the little clip above the rear view mirror for? I've been looking at that for ever. (1992 Q)

Center sun visor. Took me a year to catch that one.

These are the things that really add up to make a luxury car. iDrive and MMI are splashy and expensive-looking, but its the small detailed touches that make you feel like you have something nice.

I -really- miss the motorized oscillating vents in my two Mazda 929s (and 626). They were useless, but so nifty.

Minor.... but it took me a good 6 weeks to discover that the center console top storage thing on my 99 flips up from both sides. My wife opened it from the passenger side, I was surprised...played it cool though.

Do you have a pic of the sun visor? All I have is the clip on the rear-view mirror.

Pushing the unlock on the remote twice does the same thing.

Just found out that the outside mirrors are heated and turn on with the defroster switch on my 1995. 1990 model has a separate switch.

I want the President mirrors.

Anyway... discovered something new to me today. You guys probably all knew this already, but I thought it was cool (literally). There is an AC vent that comes out from right underneath the steering wheel. Mine must have been pointing nearly straight toward the pedals because I never felt it until I bumped it today. The great part about the this feature is that you can aim it right at the seat...with the AC blowing it will help keep the boys cool, if you know what I mean.

Yea, the other day I was taking out the garbage at night and, like an idiot, I was pulling the door handle to make the dome light go on and thinking how cool is that. It's the little things in life that give me so much pleasure.

in the trunk floor on the rh or lh sides are small compartments, one of which stashes wheel chocks that can be unfolded for use - nice thing when there's no 'wood' around - also, some 1990 Lexus people used to think that the G50's doors were 'clangy' (cheaply made) and too light - but one has to realize that this car only has it where it really counts, sans the name 'Q45' (the origin of the name is really quite interesting and quite appropriate for the 90-93 G50's characteristics) - not to mention that VERY little effort is needed to fully close any of them, whether outside or inside - I really hate it when people slam the doors on my G50, it's not an '82 Coupe DeVille - it's so well engineered that there really is no need to slam anything (same goes for the trunklid) shut - they completely latch since they are so light - why would anyone want to needlessly add another one-hundred pounds to their car anyway, just to 'feel' more secure, at the expense of pwr-to-weight - - - -

Self destructing chain guides in my 92 - discovered by my brother around 90K. Fortunately was still under the extended warrantee and we got a new engine!

There is also a vent under the front seats for rear passengers.

I had no idea my 93 g50 had a limited slip differential untill I brake torqued it in a parking lot and saw two fat strips of rubber for 30 feet. I love my q45 and am a proud owner, and member of this website.

Reduce your times and lengthen the life of your transmission by avoiding brake torqueing.

Times? He was in a parking lot. Power braking is hard on a car? Thanks for the heads up!

What I do for dramatic effect is rev my car to 6000RPM in nuetral and then slam the shifter into drive.

I just learned recently that turning the key twice in the door lock will lock or unlock all doors. AlabamaDan taught me that.

Did you know that on the 94-96 you can turn on the Bose head unit by pressing the volume button or the FM (or AM) button. So what you say? I agree.

I didn't know my '05 Q45 had power trunk opening until I was messing with the remote one day in my garage. Imagine my surpise. Now I just love to use it whenever I put something in the car, and put it in the trunk instead of the rear seat, just to watch it open by itself. Cool.

On my old '94 Q45t, I found the center sun visor quite by accident after owning the car for two years.

The '05 has sun visor extenders AND secondary sun visors so you can use both when the main ones are swung to the side to block bright sun from there.

Also both my old '94 and new '05 have "Panic alarms" by using the key fob.
