is it away to just disengage the a/c and power steering when drifting or racing and then put them back on afterwards.Does taking these things off really make that much of a change.Around how much more hp do you think you can gain from taking these things out?

the a/c system is really heavy too... if you're building a race car, removing alot of weight from the front end is another big benfit of running no a/c. You really don't free up a measurable HP number, it just helps with engine response (less turning parts/inertia).

alot of race car drivers (and drifters) don't like p/s because you can't feel the road as well. I love no p/s. Once the car is rolling it's no harder to turn than with p/s and you get better feel through the steering wheel.

and honestly, I don't think anyone really plans on running no a/c, its just so damn hard to get it to work we gave up and got used to no a/c. When summer hits again I'm sure I'll want it, but right now I couldn't care less
