In Japan they don't swap v8s into their cars for many reasons but that list doesn't include lack of want, those fortunate enough will run VH/UZ and even sometimes LR (V10) engines in anything and everything that they can be stuffed into (s-chassis, AEs, supras, etc.)

I had a notion one to do a VG30ET swap into a Z32, just to piss off the z32 people. The single cam variant is far easier to work on, far cheaper and capable of nearly as much power for half the cost. If you want SR, go SR, it just not the easiest or cheapest path. I've never built a car to emulate someone else's sense of style. Guess I like not being the same, which is why i wouldn't do the LS myself.

For drifting LS will always be the best bet; toss on two turbos and its till a TT. If sticking with JDM, why not the RB25? CXracing has swap kits for both.

Rb swaps are incredibly expensive and it wouldn't solve my lack of space in the engine bay it would give me headaches on swapping, don't get me wrong I love with a passion when they swap rb25/rb26. I'm pretty sure sr20det black tops are faster and have more aftermarket parts then the vg30et correct me if I'm wrong.

Just cost overall on obtaining the full swap and what I'll be needing to swap the engine into my z32 I know I'll be needing full harness kit engine mounts transmission mounts driveshaft but I'm thinking of swapping drive axles to a welded drive axle Ecu. And just overall anything on the swap like replacing parts that will save me a headache later when I'm going to need to replace it ,,,, sorry If im sounding lost but I am in this concept ik it won't be hard but I'm going to go through with it cuz I love this chassis so much , if it wasn't for that reason I'd just buy a s14

Any information on the topic is much appreciated :bigthumb:

Cody, you already have a thread started asking for "Any information on swapping sr20 in z32", so a second one asking about the cost is redundant. Topics have been merged.
