Go back in time 5-10 years and move to JDM. Or, go to a reputable shop, and pay $1000+ for a custom one.

Really man, those are your options. 99% of the aftermarket support for CA specific modifications has dried up (HKS, JUN, Tomei, etc have all discontinued CA18 parts within the last year which also means discontinued any support or tuning assistance)

you can prolly get a mani made for less than 1000 by mocking it up yourself/having them kinda copy the ssauto one

Greddy made nice tubular SS manifolds for the CA, they had that oddball triangular flange though for the Mitsubishi turbos. My personal favorite was the HKS cast iron T4 top mount manifolds. Keep an eye out on E-bay or Yahoo, one of these may pop up.

Right: Many companies made top mount manis, but none made bottom mount AFAIK. Why do you need a new mani? Port the stock one and be confident in your nearly indestructible cast iron mani.

Just see if any of the big name places (Full Race, Love Fab, etc.) will make you one of their "SR bottom mount" manifolds if you supply the CA flange for them to use. Then....I guess source a flange.

ask around at a few local FAB shops they should be able to make you somthing using mild or SS weldels. if you need flanges i stock all the flanges in mild on the self.

on mine about 3" in is port/polished looking (on both sides, on both the manifold and dump pipe) ... no misc garbage just hanging in there, it comes ready to install (with bolts+metal gaskets too)

i mean, i havnt ran with it yet, but its going on as soon as i get the block assembled..... after i get the damn oil pump :\

Sounds like a much better product than SSautocrap, maybe I should look into this instead.

Do you know if the Monsta manifold & dump pipe would fit with stock location so that the down pipe would bolt right up?

with the t2 flange, its a bottom-mount ... i havnt bolted mine in yet, but it should fit without any headaches.... i got one of those $70 stainless wide downpipes on ebay ... going to add a flex section into it... that should help any minor fitment issues, but it all looks near stock as far as sizes go

haha, HHAHAHAHA. no.

tyrannix just paid $400 for XS Power to send it half way around the world and back. Take this for example:

monstA t3 manifold:

versus, the ssautochrome t3 manifold:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

you got duped man. the t2 manifold is the same deal too only ssauto took some new pictures. The monstA pictures are the ones that used to be in the SS auctions from awhile back.

what a coinquidink... the RB manifold is identical too! looks like you found XS power's oversea's retailer.

you see, monstA doesn't actually make any of its products. It just imports stuff from the US, Japan, and Europe to Australia.

According to http://www.raretrick.com, Karzama still makes a CA18DET turbo manifold. But it costs over US$1000.

well, either way, mine looks like a quality piece, and theres no grind/flange/flash inside, its all polished. and the ports for the exhaust match up

and monsta has a lifetime guarantee on everything....

if this is SSAC, then my opinion of them improved a bit... but i dont think it is

edit >> ill post up some pics of mine tonight

Good idea, espeically close-ups showing the inner welds.

There is still possibility that Monsta use the same jigs as SSAC, but weld their own manifold with better quality control.

Take some pictures of the dump pipe too if you can. The pictures on the Monsta website is a dual chamber design, whereas the SSAC is just single chamber.

ssac has a lifetime warantee as well. cuzan0 had a manifold break on him, and they just sent him a new one. So he has the old one and a new one!
