thats all, bettery is dead, but all the welds are nice and even, everything is ported and polished

i really dont think this is an SSAC thing... this looks like nothing but a quality job to me (and everyone thats seen it sofar at the shop i do my work at)

im pretty sure monsta meant that they *export* to all those countries... they dont really have enough different products to say they import from all aound

the inside of my manifold looks the same as this one....i thought we already came to the conclusion (if u do sum researching) that ssac has quality control issues...some parts fits some dont...all of them..from their manifolds, to turbo extentions, to dp's to catbacks...some fit perfect...other have flaws...but ALL have warranties...

i hope this monsta isnt the same cuz im sure shipping was way more than ssac would have been

i got a reply back from Dave @ monsta

Hi CJ How are you mate? The manifold are purchased not from SSautochrome. As you will know that shipping will cost a fair bit to purchase an inividual item shipped via air to Australia through them. So not purchase through them and not polished after we have received from the manufacturer. Yes we get part from the US and Asia. In regards to Europe, we just send our stuff there. Their labour cost is too high. Our current manifold are purchased through a company in Canada but not sure where manufacture takes place. Guessing from China like allot of other things nowsday. Hope this information help. Also thank again for the publicity. Kind RegardsDavidhttp://www.monstaperformance.com

nope, exactly the same. I'm at school right now, but when I get home I'll post a picture of an SS dump pipe that someone else purchased awhile back. The picture SS uses for their dump pipe is the old one they used to sell. The new one is the one he posted a picture of.

yeah, he's right. XSpower makes it not ssac. that manifold is IDENTICAL to the one rico posted afew months back. there's no other companies making CA manifolds in that price range. The ONLY reason its more than ssac charges is because you pay for shipping to australia and back again.

well this is the thread, but the second set of pictures is dead... I'll email kaz when I get home. Basically the first picture is what ssac says its elbow looks like, then they send you the thing like tyrannix posted.

zerothread?id=86467

and ssac sells 2 types of dump pipes:

the divided one as shown here (the one tyrannix got)http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

and the trust style one like here:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

^ The dump pipe I received is the Trust style one without the divided chamber.

Which is the better performer?

The idea with the divided dump pipe is that when the wastegate opens, it keep the exhaust gasses from causing turbulance near the exhaust turbine, which causes backpressure and can reduce the total power output and can make the turbo spool slower. It originated with, IIRC and HKS style unit. The problem was that when SSAC tried to copy it, they couldn't use the same re-entry angle for the wastegate gasses and so, as you can see, it's a sharp turn for the gasses and they are fed back into the main exhaust stream of the turbine at a nearly perpendicular angle. The HKS unit was a much smoother transition. I personally feel that the "Trust" style is just fine and would be less prone to problems.

they are all made from the same factorys in china, i actually have a connection to them with one of my vendors, im working on sending a few of our parts out to see what a china knock off would cost us and if it can be made good enough and cheap enough to not have us build in house.

SSauto just buys them from over seas like 90 other companys right now. vendors are paying like 50-70$ for these things and letting them go for around 100$, its really killed a chunk of our online sales.
