I'm bored. My roommate and I discuss "IF you had any car, with any engine, what would you want it to be?"

His: RB26DETT in a SW20 :eek:Mine: S52 in a MS13:D

On a side note, it seems he wants Nissan power in another car, I want German power in my Nissan shell...

My other choice would be Challenge drivetrain in a black 355 Berlinetta.

The problem of a 2JZ-GTE in a Elise is the trashing of the weight ratio. In that car, I would use the 1.6l twin turbo Brabus put in their Smart. 310hp. That would own.

Power to weight ratio or the weight distribution? Power to weight would be a no problem but I kind of see what you are saying about the distribution

2JZ-GTE would never fit in an elise anyway. The engine bay is way too small. Hell, the 2ZZ-GE barely fits :)

CIVICS91: IN HAWAII WHEN I USED TO RACE GO-KARTS THE GUY WHO BUILT MY ENGINES HAD A BUSA MOTOR ON HIS SHIFTER KART THAT HE WAS GOING TO TURBO EVENTUALLY. HE RAN THE QUARTER IN 9.8 SECONDS AT 183MPH THAT THING WAS UNGODLY FAST AND NO ONE WOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THAT THING IF HE ACTUALLY RACED IT ON THE TRACK.

Seen something similar at a Norton rally (my old man and my grandfather are biker types).

Hmmm, I'm thinking a Merlin Pro engine block, 632ci displacement, and twin turbos of some as of yet undecided size. Just have to find a streetable transmission that can hang onto it...I know of a drag boat with a twin turboed 540ci motor that made 1600hp. That'd be a fun little motor to have in a 68' Camaro :D
