wife and I are about 50 with no other drivers in household. Many post seem to suggest a younger age of owner. Older owners give a shout-out.

No, you're not the only one. My wife and I also qualify, but my daughter just bought herself a Versa, too. So the average age of Versa owners in our household is about 37, at least until our daughter moves out in a few weeks!

Heck yes..... we are 58 and 69 here and really like our versa. The only thing I have a problem with is the hub caps keep breaking but they are ugly anyway so we are getting new rims so we don't have to worry about that anymore. Its reliable and gets great gas mileage without losing power. The tire pressure light came on and I had the pressure checked and they were low so even that works!! Keep up the good work

'Nother one. See if you can find a pattern in my car-ownership sequence' cause I sure can't:

1. 1971 VW Bug2. 1946 Willys Jeep3. 1951 Willys Jeep4. 1974 Pontiac Lemans5. 1974 VW "Thing"6. 1977 Pontiac "Sunbird"7. 1979 Chevrolet Camaro8. 1984 Nissan 720 Pickup (still own!)9. 1981 Chevrolet Citation10. 1991 Oldsmobile Ciera11. 1993 Saturn SR212. 1998 Olds Intrigue13. 1999 Lexus RX30014. 2000 Lexus RS300 (first one totaled)15. 2007 Nissan Versa

Some are still owned, some were owned at the same time as others.

Wife and I are in the mid-60s. She whips around the North Dallas area and must have the air on constantly. The V's good on gas at 30+ "run around" average. I like the seats as they are a good height and comfortable for travel, easy on my back.

I'm 6'3" and 59 years old. My wife is 53 and 5'3". With the adjustable driver's seat in the SL, we both are quite comfortable. We are very pleased with our purchase.

I'm like 54. When did I get to be 54? I really like not having to crawl out of a small car. It was starting to bother my creaky knees. I think the Versa is a great car for any age.

Eligible for AARP membership since 2006 and finally joined up, and couldn't stop laughing when its preferred Hartford Insurance quoted us premium for the Versa at 3.5 times higher than what we are actually paying to GEICO now on identifical coverage.

It's my favorite car for 60 miles daily commute to/from my job at the medical center during peak traffic period - logging already 3,300 miles trouble free in just 2 months - getting around 24 MPG in mixed city/hwy mode and 33 to 36 MPG in strict highway driving on weekend out of town trips, thanks to my lead foot. Meanwhile, the 04 Honda (CR)V EX AWD is sitting lonely at the end of the driveway.

I'm 53; wife turns 50 in November. Two kids still at home, ages 5 and 7.

We've tended to keep one larger vehicle and one smaller vehicle in the driveway. Right now they are the Versa SL and a 2002 Buick Rendezvous that seats 7.

Wife is 53 and I am 55, we both love the Versa especially the extra wide doors, the larger than usual door opening and angles, the roominess, space and comfort and those great great supportive and super comfi seats. Fuel mileage is real good and getting better as it wears in.

I'm 62, retired and on a tight budget. In January I relocated from Connecticut to north Texas. Three hours out of Connecticut in my low mileage, excellent condition 1992 Buick Regal, on the Interstate in Pennsylvania six deer ran onto the Interstate in broad daylight. Hunters spooked them. I managed to avoid 5 of them but hit the last one at 70 m.p.h. Bye-bye Buick, totaled. So I found myself in Texas unexpectedly needing to buy a car in a hurry. After a couple of weeks of looking for a used car I decided to buy a new Kia but didn't like the way it rode when I took a test drive. The Nissan dealer was just down the road from the Kia dealer and I instantly fell in love with the Versa hatchback. So far I'm happy with the decision. My car history, all except first purchased new:

1967 Toyota Corona

1972 Toyota Corona

1973 Toyota Celica (the Corona was totaled by drunk driver)

1977 Pontiac Sunbird

1981 Pontiac Grand Lemans station wagon

1988 Buick Regal

1992 Buick Regal

2007 Nissan Versa

Jeez, I'm the oldest replying so far. Have had the CVT SL V since February. I prefer to drive it over our Honda Oddy since it's just more fun, rides nice and is quieter. However, we are currently on a 4,000 mile saga and took the Oddy. Am presently in the Seattle area and my daughters say they don't see many Vs. I suggest they don't know what one looks like.

Getting decent milage, over 32 this summer in mixed driving. Interesting what the some drivers are doing to their Vs.

Followed this site for at least 8 months before actually buying and it was very helpful.

WOW! I'm 50; two kids still at home, ages 24 and 21. Can't get rid of them -- they move out and then move back in. I think the only way to lose them is if I move (and don't give them my forwarding address).

Get rid of 'em like we did their older brother (he's 23). He's married and in the Air Force.

Yes all three kids are with the same wife. Our 30th anniversary is this year. Many, many people asked us if we were crazy when we had more kids after a 15 year gap. We thought we were done after miscarraiges and using birth control, so we just call it "UN-Planned Parenthood".

I'm an old far*...57 and counting. Still wish I could reduce the throttle lag time down some for the shifting of the manual trans.

Congrats! We hit 30 next year. Many people asked us if we were crazy when we got married -- too young, etc. Good times, hard times, made it through . . . and now able to relax a bit and enjoy life a lot without the pressures of running children here there and everywhere. I guess you'll get there again

Hi,

My wife is 52 and loves her Versa, she says it's the most fun car she's had since her old '72 MGB.

Sadly she's in the hospital now and things are looking pretty bad but I'm hoping she can recover and get back to enjoying life.
