My friend has a civic EX, which is rated by the factory at 127 lb and two digits tq. Anyways, he immed me and asked for a stock catback...I was like WTF. So then he said that he wants to run stock exhaust with a greddy turbo kit, with hondata and expect it to run 13's or mid 13's.
So now i'm thinkinking 127HP + barely 50 HP which is 177HP...that is even weaker than a stock GSR, which runs about 14.9-15.2 with bolt ons...so he is saying that he can break 13's??? I'm like, ok. I know I'm a honda fan as well, but his philosophy is just plain stupid, don't you guys think?

So you should've changed the name of the post a little. Obviously this kid is on the retarted side. It has nothing to do with the fact that he is driving a Honda. It makes it seem like Honda is forcing him to be this ignorant. To me it sounds like manufacturing bashing, but Honda not only makes great cars, but also has a racing history, in 4 wheel and 2 wheel. Nissans racing history is nowhere near as astonishing as Honda's. And also there are cars that are made by Honda that are better then the 240sx. I have a 97 240SE and my friend who used to have a 2001 Prelude SH, so I rode with him alot and easily stock for stock, the Honda beats the 240SX. It is alot more fun cause of the power, and it can go about 140 without needing a hill do roll down. I have yet to hit 120 in my car, and I need a hill to hit that. Anyways, we should all be nice and respectful to other Japanese carmakers, why dont we bash Chrysler, or Mercury or something, the Maraduer is a V10 but it does 0-60 in 7 seconds. I dont know about you people but that is just asking for a good bashing.

hey watch the teenage clowns thing. im 17 goin to be 18 in less than a month and i jsut ordered an nsport stage 1. i do all the work on my car myself except for the body kit which ifi could go back i would have never got. way too mcuh money for no performance. sorry jsut had to vent. i do know what u mean tho, i can make anyone in my highschool speechless if they start talkin about cars and "hookin them up"

The Mercury Marauder is a V8. If I'm not mistaken, it has the same engine as my Interceptor.
For the money, you're correct - it sucks.

You're right on that one. way too much money, but its looks damn good. all black with those big chrome wheels and dual chrome exhaust tips. and the newest version has a 400 or 500 hp engine in it or something like that.
and f1seb, whats up with bashing the nissan racing history. if i recall, the Skyline dominated everything it was entered in during the late 60s and 70s. the Zs tore up the tracks. the newer skylines were banned for being too good. the nissan rally cars did damn good too. and the R390, twin turbo 4.5 lt V8, over 220 mph, need i say more...true, honda does make good engines and bikes, but i just dont see the racing history as being THAT good.

yeah these kids think they can make a car do 13seconds with just a few bot ons.. fact is 99.9% of them havent even ridden in a 13 second car.. hell every time i have drivin a 13 second car.. its scarry.. im no afrade to admit it.. hell even my friends 14 second porsha was fast nuf ' for me..

Nissan has the record because it has turbo RWD cars. Honda has records of FWD and NA cars...There are different aspecs on both sides of the manufactories. Honda does make great cars, too bad Nissan doesn't have a good history...in the U.S of course.

I don't give a darn if Honda does make good cars. I'll not buy one. Their motorcycles are a different story. I wouldn't mind having a 900 RR or a 929 for a stunt bike. Something I can toss down the road and not get too upset over.
I dislike Honda's and all the little ricer Honda drivers. Any dumb butt that drives around with a blecher (metal wing), muffler, and unpainted body work is an idiot. They have a car that could be decent but they want to slap two dozen stickers all over it, that are from products they dont have.
The only fast Honda around here is a Civic that the owner at least took the time and spent the money to get a 75 shot of Nitrous installed. I at least respect him for buying something that adds power. Not to mention he took my friends LT1 Corvette.

Nissan (datsun) Zs were one of the most widely sold sport car sieries EVER. Hows that for a record.
As for Honda, they are a good company. Thier motorcycles are awesome ( i have a sub 10 second honda VTR 996)and thier cars are pretty fast for N/A. (well SOME cars, ie the GSR) In the realm of modification, thier cars usually require a lot of $$ to make fast compared to other cars, and are FWD of course

This shouldn't be a honda bashing thread, but I guess it was inevidable. Here's the thing: many people don't realize that for every dope a$$ Nissan there is a dope a$$ honda as well. It's just that there are a lot more people doing hondas than nissans so you see a lot more sh!tty hondas. My brother drives a honda civic with a B18C5 (type R) that would hold it's own with most of the nissans on this board and it's all motor. He has respect for Nissans and all imports for that matter. If you don't care for honda styiling or even their performance than that's your own thing, but it doesn't mean that hondas suck, or that honda owners are stupid.Let's increace the peace people.

That is true.. the Honda F1 cars are pretty damn awsome when it comes to NA power. and the all honda civic type R GT races in japan are pretty cool too.

well ive heard a lot about the marauder on this thread, well, th marauder has a 4.6 v8, RWD and has 3o2hp, not 4oo or 5oo (would be cool tho eh??), and also, the v1o, nah, ur probably thinking of the FORD 49 concept, it has a 5oohp v1o sedan, i think its absolutely dumb to drive a v1o as a family car just because of gas alone!!, and as far as racing history, both are good, what else can u say, o, just as a side note, i have to admit,i DO like two fords , gt4o and gt9o (i woulda bought one if htey woulda made it )
