Just thought I'd post up some pics of my 5spd swap. I really didn't get much done today as far as the swap's concerned other than puttin it on stands and droppin the exhaust. I'm itchin' to do my swap but I couldn't do a whole lot but take some before pics, I was tired after scrubbing all the damn salt off three vehicles after the 5" of snow we had last Monday .

6 days ago.....snow.

today 80 degrees.....

covered my primer hood w/rustoleum satin black the other week

Last pic of the slushbox selector ...POS

All of my goodies are waiting on me .

I hope to have some actual progress next weekend (and moar pics), it'll prob take me atleast a month worth of weekends to get it done inbetween work but I def want to do it right....

Very nice, do a search for the tech DIY, which I'm probably sure you've already done. Good luck and have fun, looks like you have all your ducks in a row...

I'm in the same situation as you are. I have all the parts, and the s13's off the road for the winter. The snow is finally melting so I'm hoping to get mine swapped by April. Just need a good streak of promising weather.

It's hard to tell what the weather is goin to be like here in NC. After a winter of collecting parts I can't wait. I've got the fsm, couple of mag articles (modified & project car) and a wiring guide all sittin on the workbench too. I'm just glad I can take my time with it and don't have it as a DD .

I am in the same boat as you....I have a pile of parts and no time to execute. Any s14 trans. around you? I don't really want to drill my s13 housing.

you dont have to drill your s13 housing just get a s13 5 speed ecu and this and your all set works like a charm

While the concept seems realistic, I prefer a factory-like setup with OBD II compliance which would require an s14 bellhousing and CKPS. Good looking out though. I will keep this in mind in the interim.

Thanks,Kevin

I bought a Circuit Sports conversion line, but the agency power is pretty much the same thing. Today I had a chance to remove the rear suspension off the subframe. I figured while I'm at it the subframe needs to be replaced because the person that owned it before tried to do some off-roading and bent it all to hell . I had some pics to throw on here but I effed up and deleted them. I know how you feel about doing it right diggles, esp. with OBD II.

and the clutch line is a little cheaper here http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/...hYN=N

Yeah, I am not much for half-assery. BTW, are you using an OEM driveshaft or a one-piece and what clutch is that? Sorry, I can't tell from the pic. Good luck

Buy the OEM line from Nissan. I can't remember off-hand but I think it was something like $50-$80 and it's alot cleaner than having a SS line from the Master to the Slave... Besides it snaps right into place.

You guys got to be kidding me. Did any one look at Courtesyparts.com

The actual hard line that runs from clutch master cylinder to ??? (dont know if the S14 have the $hit S13 have). That goes between hard line and slave cylinder. That air bleed thingy (I bypassed this by the way in my S13)

But its only $13.11 plus shipping from Texas. they call it " CLUTCH TUBE & HOSE" mean that's cheaper than dirt, and you cant beat that with a baseball bat. It's OEM and cheap. Nissan number should be 30850-S14001

link is on here

http://www.courtesyparts.com/2....html

actual part link here

http://www.courtesyparts.com/3..._3760&

I would call Courtesyparts and see how much this part is, and verify. But think this is better than stainless braided, you can put in a stainless braided instead of rubber hose.

jr_ss , you probably bought everything, all the lines that's why you paid around 50-80, or was it just for the one hard line?

And about using S13 ecm, this will not do for people with OBD2.

I would like to know how much you paid for that S14 trany, think looks mint?

How did you do your corners amber, you used paint or what?

Edit:, I just noticed that the Agency Power and the one in the pic above, connect directly to slave cylinder, and they cost around $36+s/h. That seems like a good deal too.Took another look and, if anyone wants to spend $391.49 for TRANSMISSION CASE, which is the bell housing, so you dont have to drill the S13 trany. GL

Yeah it seemed like a good deal to me, the agency power line. I just bought one. Then I can route it under the brake booster, I'm also thinking about doing this with the brake master. Then I can take the lines off the back wall, and run em' lower to hide them.

What ever floats your boat, or is it what ever puts a smile on your face I got brake lines by Agency Power, top notch with gold fittings and black nylon sleeve.

it actually cost me less then $30, since i already had everything else. my black s13 is 5 spd, but the red shell was auto. all i bought was the slave cylinder (z31 unit btw) and clutch master cylinder. i used the hardline from the black car and an spl braided clutch line i picked up awhile ago. i grabbed the pedals off of the black car, but you only really need the clutch pedal. its easiest just to cut the brake pedal and slip the manual rubber cover on it after you've cut it to size. as for putting the clutch pedal in, if you crawl under the dash where the clutch pedal would go on an auto, you'll see an imprint of where to cut. 3 holes, 2 small side ones for the studs to go through and the larger one for the master cylinder, just use a hole saw, its just under 1 inch iirc. since i already had my sr to go in, the trans was taken care of, but it wodul grind so i picked up a ka trans and swapped the bellhousing. and while the engine was out i installed a stage 1 exedy clutch and nimso flywheel. it took a little sit til i was ready to put the engine ad trans in, but all the other 5 spd swap work takes like 30 minutes. insanely easy. sorry for all teh typing, but i wanted to be thorough. i have pics of the whole process in my build thread

I say "what ever finds your lost remote". But anyway the clutch & fw is the stage 2 set from Competition Clutch with a light weight (14lb.) flywheel. I'm also going to be using an aluminum driveshaft from ShaftMasters. The transmission only set me back $100, but had no speed sensor. I painted my corners w/Krylon stained glass paint, I kinda effed up and got em too dark but.....whatever. I'll def keep things updated with pics.

Progress is nice. May I ask where you are at in Greensboro? I have relatives who live in the Huntersville area that I may be visiting soon and would be more than happy to lend a hand with the swap if you are interested. Again, if you have any s14 trans. in your area, I will pick up.

^^^ I won't need any help with the swap but thanks for the offer. I'll def keep a lookout around the area for a OBDII S14 5spd....if I find one I'll let you know.
