I'll def keep that in mind since it's like 30' from my toolbox, I'm having to do the swap ghetto style in the driveway with no garage...and no shade tree LOL.

I am lucky that I will have access to a lift for my swap. Pulling everything from my parts cars while lying on the ground got old very quickly. Nothing like an enclosed workspace.

Yay, a little more progress today, I managed to find a little time to do a little more swap work.

I pulled the console and shift assy.

and tapped some holes....

my...what a clean hole a punch makes. Soooo much better than a hole saw.

got the clutch pedal an master cyl. all mounted up....

can't wait to get to the point where I can fill that m/c up .

looking good. i used a hole saw and it it worked well, but the punch is a good idea. did you swap a manual brake pedal on, or cut the auto brake pedal?

I just cut down the auto and slapped a manual cover on it. And yeah the punch makes a nice clean edge.

After reconditioning my clutch pedal, I am probably going to do this as well.

I found a bellhousing and will pick up this weekend. So, one more order from Courtesy and on with the party

Any special plans for the rear subframe? Powdercoat and bushings or what?

With some nice weather and parts atleast I could get something done. So I figured I'd do a little update.

Well I got a straight subframe and cleaned it all up and painted it....

Dammit I beat, cut, cursed, and 5# hammer'd those stock bushings out...

But it was well worth the effort to dead-blow the SPL solid subframe spacers in.

Got it all mounted up & had to pause for a moment to admire it.

My pumpkin is stripped and waiting on the Cusco 2 way lsd .

I'll def not goin' low-key with the exhaust a BCII .

I hope next weekend will be nice so I can finally get the transmission swapped out.

Well it's still not on the road yet, but dam close. All thats left to do is get the diff shimmed up according to the FSM spec. & finish wiring up the sensors on the transmission. I did get a chance to take it for a test drive with the diff like it is (noisy gear lash) and wholly sh** what a difference from the auto. The biggest difference was in the NISMO mounts, there is no slop in the dirvetrain anymore. And with the LW flywheel it revs sooo much quicker. I knew it would take me forever to get this swap done, but dam, between the rain and work I'm luck to get this far. I figured while I had the chance I'd post up some pics of the progress.

The motorcycle jack worked great for getting the auto out

The pilot bushing was a bish, it broke a puller tryin to get it out. I ended up getting it cut out after a 1/2 hr. with a dremel tool

After the transmission and exhaust was mounted up, bout time

Some pics of the Buddy Club

The shift boot/trim all installed.

Got the MC all filled up and bled out.

Ohh yeah the Altima fans were recently installed too

That valve cover is awfully close, might give me a reason to go GT Spec

Cusco 2way is in the pumpkin but needs a shim adjustment

Hopefully if all goes well I'll have it on the road next weekend, yippee. Then it's time for an alignment and to break in the clutch.

It seems to be at a stand still on doing anything else to it. It's on the road for now. I sold the Cusco diff , I had to pitch that cheap a$$ shifter for a B&M, the Nismo knob was too light... so I got a Hammer knob from AMS performance, and I diddn't like how high the Nismo mounts sat the motor so I sold them, made some Azhitman mounts and they were too stiff for DD so I just filled the stock mounts (much better). I put some Final Konnexion lenses on the headlights and Origin clear corners. Other than that, hopefully I'll get some coilovers this Spring and I want to paint the whole car a 30~40 sheen satin red. Oh... and I got a helluva deal on a mint condition Navan grille .

It would be real easy just to drill the bell housing instead of trying to find an s14 transmission. Just search and I'm sure it's been covered before
