You know the funny part about all this?

My wife (a Democrat) and I (a Republican) were watching him on television when [then President] Clinton was asked the key questions about his affair with Monica.

When he denied the allegations categorically in public, on television, the "that woman" response, etc., I turned to my wife and said that the President of the country could not be lying and therefore, the charges had to be false. She smiled and said that she still thought he was guilty.

Of course, later it turned out that she was right and I was wrong.

The point is that it was the lying under oath, as the President of the US, that tee'd me totally - I simply could not believe he had categorically denied it on television to the public (under oath, as I recall, but am not certain). He deserved to be impeached ... nothing to do with whether Hilary could let him off the hook or not.

I love the hypocrisy of Democrats. They say they're going to end the culture of corruption in Congress, yet this Cap and Trade deal has just passed the House without anyone even reading the 1200 pages in the bill. Same as the Stimulus Bill.

Republicans fire those who are revealed to be corrupt in their ranks.

Democrats promote those in their ranks who are corrupt and offer them cabinet jobs.

Here is another example of why this is stupid. I know its similar in some parts of Ca. In NOVA, we have a pretty fair share of predominantly Hispanic neighborhoods and 'areas'. Some businesses in that area pretty much only employ Spanish speaking, or something worse than spanglish speaking Hispanics. CAN WHITEY GET HAZ JOB?! I mean ffs, as a buisness owner, dont tell me who i can and cant employ.

If im a racist SOB employer then so be it, GTFO i can be racist. There are enough other fvkin jobs in the world to where a few racist a$$holes shouldnt cause the creation of such massive, far reaching and stupid laws. There might have been that need at one point, but that need is gone IMO.

"Actually, the one thing David didn’t do after his adulterous fall was build, because he was forbidden by God to construct his dream temple in Jerusalem.

Sanford should give his piety a rest. He told his cabinet that the Psalms taught him humility. (There’s a chance that a younger Argentine boyfriend of Maria’s also taught him humility, by jealously hacking into her e-mail account and leaking the governor’s missives.)

Sanford can be truly humble only if he stops dictating to others, who also have desires and weaknesses, how to behave in their private lives.

The Republican Party will never revive itself until its sanctimonious pantheon — Sanford, Gingrich, Limbaugh, Palin, Ensign, Vitter and hypocrites yet to be exposed — stop being two-faced."

There are a number of Democrats on the staff. As normal, you just assume and try to constantly bring up straw man arguments with every thread you create.

Lame.

I asked for proof on the straw man you threw out in this thread and I have yet to see you provide any. Then again, as you don't have any, I never expected you to do anything but deflect.

US Navy destroyers follow a North Korean container ship with suspected contraband. North Korea issues a statement that it would rain down a nuclear 'fire shower' if attacked. Last week the DoD was stationing THAAD missile batteries in Hawaii.. Yeah no threat what so ever.

Since I was watching CNN at work with Kim Jong-il and NBC at home during dinner here is the citation.http://www.guardian.co.uk/worl...hreat

Really? Are you THAT f***ing stupid?

As far as I am concerned, you are persona non grata after such an insinuation.

I'm offended that you'd question my integrity as such.... and if we were in person, I'd tell you to shove it up your a$$.

Disagree all you want, but don't question my integrity. See, some of us still value things like that.

Piss off.

p.s. As a side note, you STILL have failed to respond adequately to the prior posts. Lacking any original thought, you post someone else's opinions.

COLEMAN OUT

Another Republican out

Says the Minnesota Supreme Court

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31..._hill/

http://www.washingtonpost.com/...pnews

With a unanimous court ruling it is doubtful the US Supreme Court would agree to hear an appeal

Welcome to the US Senate Al Franken

We all knew you could do it

According to MSNBC $51.1 million was raised between the two candidates and $11 million on the recount.

Just goes to prove every vote counts

In other Republican scandal news

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31...itics/

The story just keeps getting better. For someone who called for President Clinton's resignation what is Sanford wating for? Goodby Mark

Another Republican loser

http://www.nydailynews.com/new....html

And now the latest is Sanford may have been with more women besides Maria but he is claiming he did not have sex with them.

Where did I hear that one before?

I don't feel this "chilling effect" you refer to. Perhaps what you observe is a result of seeing opinions that differ from your "left wing agenda". Just about every post from you seems to be a Republican vs Democrat type of argument. Its as if you are routing for your favorite sports team.

This is an absolutely worthless thread.

Telco: It's fine to make a thread about Sanford as it has legitimate political implications, but as with so many times before...."you're doing it wrong". Your titles and phrasing are ALWAYS incendiary.

I will be clear this time:

If you make another thread like this, I will be personally lobbying for your ban. I am a registered Democrat and this will NOT be because of any political bias on my part, this will be because you are a tremendous douche. Please stop being a tremendous douche. You are not allowed to "rub things in" here, EVER. No one is.

You can say: "Recent GOP scandals like Sanford, Craig, Vitter, and Foley have the potential to undermine the party that has positioned itself as the Moral Majority and here's why I think so"

You can't say: "The GOP sucks because Mark Sanford boned an Argentinian chick"

Do you see a difference? If so, please act accordingly....if not, please just stop logging in here.

Hell, I'd be fine with it if he'd defend the things he says.

Instead, he just flits away like a teenage girl with ADHD jacked up on Mountain Dew who's just seen some shiny s*** on sale at the mall.

I knew a kid like him in grade school. Big mouth, lots of trash talk... Would lip off during a kickball game, but if you stepped up to him, he'd start SCREAMING to the PE teacher that he was being threatened, cause a big scene.

I'm sure it's described in the DSM-IV, but I've neither the motivation nor the time to research the affliction.

p.s. Arabs eat pot pies?
