Hey man I heard that RTV could hold like20psi easy. Seriously though, Fel-pro permatorque is a really good head gasket. Jason from E-mance ran his to 28psi and it was fine. However 32 was the magic number.POOFI have no idea on the main bearings though. I don't know if it would be worth the extra $45.I mean, you are already replacing the weakest link, the cheap pistons. I know the sealed power will have the same thin ring lands, but I would think they would be made a little better. No chance of going with Arias or another after market piston? If I could afford it, thats what I would do, but if not then I would just go stock replacement and feel confident that I could make 350hp with no problem.G/L with the build.

the pistons are oem so I think the rebuild it had was a ring job I'll have the block looked over and go from that.

I dont think I'll put in forgies till I blow this one. I have plans to pop it already then maybe that time I'll put in some 40 over 8.8(or 8.1's not sure) and really do a build. IF I wasnt so boost happy I'd slap in somesohc piston and go n/a and see, hell I might even do that anyways, then do some dyno's lol, I havent seen any soch piston de's or the numbers they make.

rtv ftw then, that just brought my cost down, gaskets are pricey little fu(kerz.

anyone on the bearings

sohc pistons & n/a, they're ok, but what about........sohc pistons & boost! even better!(till ya easily blow it up due to higher comp)

,

lol already thought about that A FEW TIMES! but I am too cheap to afford race gas, I'd have to retard a ton(maybe even at the dizzy, some more), and I'd need 850cc injectors to keep detonation under control... and or meth/water. right now I want it simple, like it was, ugly and effective. I'll be throwing in some 370 sr injectors OR 440cc rx7's, just to get a bit safer afr's(well so I can add a t28 and turn up to 14psi). I still stand by the it was cold and I didnt have my ait sensor hooked up

You know I was joking about the RTV right? Just buy a full gasket set . Since you aren't running a heavily modded engine, you don't need anything fancy.

no I know man the little guy rolling on the floor laughing his *** off your use of icons went well, my lack of and misuse owns me

no I'm using perma dry and if the **** doesnt keep dry permanent I'm calling felpro , really I only worry about the oil pan, the rest I can fix on the car, timing covers get some rtv tho, LOTS. like maybe on the outside after I let it dry on the contact areas.
