I give Moon a 8.7/10 and Once Were Warriors a 8.2/10.

Really enjoyed both movies. Just finished the DL of Ichi the Killer. Just started the Eraserhead DL. I should start a movie blog or something...

EDIT: Just tried to play Ichi the Killer. The 4.41 GB DL I got won't f'in play. I get sound, but the video is all messed up. I think I need to defrag this here laptop... Oh well, on to Eraserhead.

Hahaha exactly. A couple others of his that I kinda enjoyed are Lost Highway and Mulholland Dr. They aren't as "WTF" as Eraserhead. That's not to say that they aren't trippy as hell, they're just a little more modern and don't have any fetus, alien looking baby things or a woman living in a radiator lol.

First of all... POST # 5,000

Now then, thank you very much for this recommendation. I had seen a very small portion of it on tv a while back, but had no idea what it was or anything. I really enjoyed it. Great story! I'm going to watch Clockwork Orange next. Never seen it...

PURE CINEMA GOLD is what you just watched. Can't go wrong with anything that David Lynch directed.

:slap: THat should have been #1 on your list of movies to see. Stanley Kubrick is another one of my favorite directors.

PS: Audition, while being a good movie (I will emphasize good, because it was not great.) the story is kind of bland and the movie tends to drag at times. Now, I will say that the torture scene makes up for lacking in other areas.

Really love that film, it's quite eerie and amazing acting for a one-man-role.

I wanted to kill my friend after recommending that to my ex and I. We were so angry after the movie (2hr+, we kept watching because we kept thinking it would get better), lucky for him he was on a AFB in Texas so we couldn't exact revenge on him at the time.
Such a pretentious, nonsensical plot--and not in the "haha this is so bad it's great" way either. It tried way too hard.

Well dammit. I just got done with Clockwork Orange. It was an interesting movie. I liked it. As for Ichi the Killer, someone just burn me a copy and send it to me! I'm not going through that DL again...

Among the more poetic and nihilistic of war movies, but that's what makes a war movie good:

Decent cast, but it was overshadowed by Saving Private Ryan.

Watch it in the original Russian w/ English subtitles if you can - the subtitles do things:

The Thin Red Line I was not a fan of. I saw it in theaters and a person I saw it with put in like this: "That was a 2 hour movie crammed into 3." I may check out Night Watch.

It's a dark, gritty, low-budget vampire movie with Lance Henriksen and most of the rest of the cast from Aliens. The ending sucks, but the rest of the movie is worth watching anyway.

It was on netflix last night and people have reported on and off that they've seen it available. I've yet to see it's status change, so no viewing for me yet, but I'm not worried, I can wait. I've pretty much seen every footage of Ayrton out there anyway.
