This is so true. I guess it took this wake up call for me to realize it. I will drive like this from now on. The guy that hit me said the light was green, then he sneezed, then he looked up and the light was red and he didn't have anytime to stop. Sounds like to me!Canadian Coupe wrote:THAT SUCKS.
But honestly, even though that ******* ran the red light (idiotic drivers), that is why I always make it a point to look left and right before going through the intersection on a green light.
You can never drive too safe.
Glad to hear you're OK.....I guess I can't call dibs on the fog lights.rjdmmfl1 wrote:hopefully they won't total it out... but if they do, do you think I could maybe get the info on what junkyard they send your car to?
Yeah, sounds like total crap.tommy314 wrote:

Hey doc...I'll give you the junkyard number if you give me a good deal on some kickplates for my new coupe..lol..but in all seriousness...thanks for all the love guys...really sucks to lose a carrjdmmfl1 wrote:hey, sorry to hear that dude glad ur OK, hopefully they won't total it out... but if they do, do you think I could maybe get the info on what junkyard they send your car to?
I have to repeat what everyone else said - glad you're ok. Glad you didn't get completely T-boned as that would've been a ton worse. On a side note, when my last car got jacked State Farm paid to replace my stereo upgrades. I was told that upgrades to the car are covered as long as they are installed on the vehicle (IE my iPod wasn't covered because it wasn't technically installed on the car). If you saved your receipts, SF should cover the aftermarket parts.tommy314 wrote:No official word from State Farm on whether its totaled or not but I believe it is. Worst part is, I had just installed my stillen rear sway bar, front and rear endlinks, and my eibach lowering springs.
I asked about this before my last car got stolen, and I was told by my State Farm agent I didn't need to have a rider for the stereo (would be the same rules for aftermarket parts). As long as you can prove that the components were installed (I had pics with my last car) they should cover these things (and the proof is easy because they can look at the car and find the end links/sway bar/springs). Also, when I got to see my car at the impound (after it was gutted and the parts were sold) they wouldn't let me remove anything from the car. If insurance plans on totaling, they'll keep the car and sell off everything they can to recover their costs.LongBeachCoupe wrote:Id get to the car and replace the parts with factory if possible, they arent giving you the $ for aftermarket unless you put it on your insurance prior..
