Actually the damage to the kia was minor in comparison to mine. He was moving at such a high speed that he kind of just sliced straight through the front of my car. Kind of hard to explain. The only damage he had was to the drivers side front of his bumper and a little bit of damage to the drivers side fender.

Wow man. Glad you're ok, no matter how much each of us loves our coupe... in the end, it's just a car.

I gotta agree with most of the people here, the coupe can take a beating and the people come out 'just fine'. I'm using that phrase loosely.

he would have to buy it from the insurance company for what it would be worth in its current state of being, so for him to keep it , it might cost about 5-7 grand.

Im sure it just fell off his battery and was laying on the road. Someone picked it up and put it on the windshield.

Thats a boring answer.

It flew 50 feet in the air at impact, then as the car was spinning he reached out the window and grabbed it!

Nice catch man! Im impressed.

...A MOMENT OF SILENCE AS WE PASS ANOTHER UN TO COUPE HEAVEN...may you see clear horizons and cop-less runs to stretch your legs...may your tank be full with premium for all eternity...may your paint never be scared and your wax never marred...drive on brave coupe....drive on.

glad u are ok..dont know if i would have the composure to shoot the crime scene....and im a news photographer!

total for sure! 1/4 of ur car is still on the highway!...a sneeze huh?..let the idiot tell that to his ins company....you got names of witnesses as well as pics of the intersection?...are the sight lines clear at the corners?....trees?...bushes?....can the state/ county be held liable?55-60?....what was hte legal limit on the road..sneeze or no sneeze...your neck and back hurt?....hope your gonna get more from this than a new car bro...

im not a lawyer or nuttin....but shoot...im tired of seeing people get rich on suein' over hot cups of coffe..and too cold ice cream...this is real and demands real payback...

think of the stress ur gonna have to go throught with ur ins company to get ur $$ back...the time needed to find a new car...the pain of goin to doctors/ chiropractors.....therapy..etc...sounds like 26-30 g is minor to me...talk to a lawyer...show him the pics and statments of witness...see if you can snag a copy of the police report and scene evalution...(taken at the report of all accidents by the reporting officer)....if the guy was in fact speeding as evident by the photos...was his soberity in question did the officers ask?...were there skid marks at the intersection from his direction?,,,if not...he didnt see you or bother to try to stop..why?...a sneeze?...

sorry to fuel a fire....but these are some things to think about...

Well, that sucks even more! It's his fault, yet he gets to drive away in his car while you're stuck with all the damage. Figures, though....

Also, if this was the Kia's fault for running the light, how would he be able to sell it? The other driver's insurance company would pay him for the totalled vehicle then try to salvage as much as they can for it.

And, I'm no grammar nazi, but this is REALLY awful:

"And the rest is plastic missolianias parts in the front."

the car on ebay isnt nearly as torn up as tommy 314, you can tell by the severe differences in the condition of the oil cooler and the drivers side front fender, so those are different cars

The ebay auction is for a different car. I had a mt, tints, and lowering springs.

No, my drivers side curtain did not deploy. Only my passengers side curtain.

Only 5 Gs.. good luck.

The front end damage on that car will make sure it never drives properly again.

I would not put 10 dollars into that car let alone thousands.

edit .. wrong car, so disregard

It's good to see that you walked away from that one. The A/C seem to be a good sturdy car that can take a beating .

I'm not so sure 5g's will do. looks to me like all the steering components would either be bent or broken, the Airbags that deployed will cost somewhere around 1g and up, and the block on the engine will most likely have some damage to it (out of shape, cracked), new a/c lines, compressor, alternator. But thats just goin off the pic's. Could be alot better than it looks.

don't settle for less you deserve a new coupe! with what you had on it!

Good luck and again GLAD TO SEE YOUR OK

Good thing he just clipped your front end, because if he hit the driver/pass side at 60 MPH you could of been in serious condition. Even more worse if the side curtains didn't deploy.

Hey man I don't know if this got covered, but when my mom totaled my Camaro, State Farm was going to reimburse me for my system, and said they would have reimbursed me for my suspension bits if they had just been bought and installed within I think a month or so, and if it had been longer than that they would have pro-rated it and I would have gotten a certain percentage back.

thank goodness for side curtain airbags. At least you are OK for the most part. Time to upgrade to something better with the insurance money if there is any left over
