so i got this shell from a friend of mine about 3 weeks ago for $100!!!

rolling shell and a s***ty blue interior

lets get on with the pics...theres a few of them

took out the blue interior peaces before the tow truck came

dont make fun of my spare tire lol

on the way home

power windows -battery = open windows for a while

took fenders and ugly a55 pignose off to look at the frame and all the shiznit and to make it easier to apply POR15 in the engine bay

my rust spots

under the gas pedal when i took out the carpet i found thisthis one is where the seat rail rests

started to apply POR15 inside

much better now

hahaha i was bored at work

my new Chuki bumper...thanks to Andy for JDMhookup.com this came off of his RHD CLIP:)

any feedback welcome... I ♥ HATERS so feel free to hate on me if you need to say anything...like i said its only about 3 weeks old...suspension coming soon...in a few days actually

you should have taken out the sound deading before putting on the POR-15...IMO. How much POR-15 did you buy to do your whole car?

I am not a hater but I think a friend of yours should have been happy that you are willing to take that shell off his hands and paid for towing

P.S. Love the restoration threads ^_^

hey everyone...so back to the "build" ummmm i havent really been able to do much with work and crap and just been broke really...now they cut my hours and im back on track with the 40...so yeah onto some pics of my handy body work -_-

so i just started by poppin a dent out of the drivers side quarter panel and there was chipped paint so i went to work...

sanded it down taped it off primered it and sanded it again and primered it again but no pic of that

then i chipped away at another spot at the same quarter panel and kept chipping until i couldnt anymore

thats a size 10 deep wall socket and thats how deep the holes were...im guessing the car was hit before and fixed

sanded around the holes and primered it with some RUST-OLEUM or whatever

filled in the craters with some bondo BUUUTTTT i didnt mix the bondo hardener and now its taking forever to dry (yes i know a noob mistake) and im waiting to re -sand it and primer it again

another little spot right above the wheel

she did all the sanding and spraying of primer i didnt know how to do that well enough

also went over the drivers side fender again and primered it again but no pic of that

also took out all the rock chips and scratches on the front bumper...did 80 grit sand papper the a 120 grit and a 200 grit did that everywhere i sanded and now its smooth as glass everywhere

filled in the holes on the bumper for the front plate...i hate front plates in the middle of a nice bumper

my next and only thing body wise left to do is the roof take the FIBERGLASS off and fix the spots where the hood came open and hit the top of the roof from the previous owner of course and then re-sand the rear bumper

also...passenger side front wide body kit coming along nicely too

yep thats that 300mm wide fender lol

dont mind the red door on the blue car!!.so let me know what you guys think of my noob body work??.any feedback and suggestions are welcome...some more pics to come soon...im thinking of just rattle can the whole car after prep work just for the s***s and giggles and just for the practice...im putting on the s13 SE wheels on soon too...idk why i just love those wheels even have a piar on my 02 spec v

oh yeah i also pained my engine bay since theres no motor in it yet and it looked horrible...power washed everything cleaned it up nicely and...

RUST-OLEUM has some good stuff...i took one paint with flakes in it and shiny clear mixture and then sprayed it with a purple RUST-OLEIM paint and in the sun shines really bright...i like it and i think some of you do to...what do you guys think?

Nice progress... but...

There's always a but....

It would look super clean if you pulled everything out of your engine bay like your brake lines and brake booster... Also looks like ya missed a spot... frame rail but you won't notice that when A motor's in there. Looks like someone changed the boot's on your steering rack as well or they just cleaned up very well. You can also pull that plastic angled box like thing that serves no purpose out of your frame rail. Its right under your wiring box. Depending on how your building this and what your going to be using it for you might be able to get rid of your charcoal canister. And bypass that clutch dampening box on your frame rail.

I've also got chuki fender extentions f/s

Just a little advice from me Def a decent start

Good luck with your build

their really not that bad...only on the drivers side theres a little rust but its outside rust it didnt eat through the frame rail itself but im still going to weld over the frame rails still for extra strength and support
