Another 240sx Vert...... Gone

Well guys looks like yet another 240sx convertible is gone. As many of you know I recently purchased this vert, dericed it, tried to sell it and realized that I love the car too much to part with it. Well now I have no choice as the car is (as of today at 3:30pm) totaled. Basically inessence what happened was I was traveling toward a green light in a two lane road (four lane total not including turn lane). Cars in the left lane had stoped to let some mazda 3 hatch through and she came into my lane before I had any time to think of even hitting the brakes and then we hit. Everyone (myself and the other lady) was ok but the cars were not. But the good thing is that we both walked away. Now it was her fault but I havent worked out the details with the insurance company yet, so we will see what comes from that. I loved this car but it looks like its time to move on to another 240sx/Nissan. This is the only picture I have.

Man, I'm so sorry to hear that. I remember when that winged-riced/funky-painted monster first graced this forum and we all thought, "Yuck!" You made great efforts to bring her back into the fold. I'm glad that no one was hurt.

Now, being the vultures that we are...I'll take the rims and tires if you can get them.

Women need to stop driving first. I know how that makes me come across as a jerk and I am fully aware that there are bad male drivers as well. It's just my opinion, based on what I see or hear and the cause is usually a woman.I've almost gotten into accidents because of women as well. I can name quite a few instances but I'll leave it at that. Sorry for my little rant...just letting off some steam.

Anyways, Otto I'm really sorry to hear about what happened. You were making such good progress with that vert of yours. I'm glad your ok. There are other verts out there so don't let it go to ya. I would really consider looking into Repo's vert. It's very nice.

As everyone else has said, it's a good thing no one was hurt. Keep us all posted if you decide to do a part out, may help recoupe some cash to buy another vert!

Sorry to hear that. You are okay, and that's what matters the most. It's just material you know... You learn from this vert, have a good memory with it and move on. I don't know what you going to get next, but try to stick with Nissan. It's a good company and you can find other cool cars. Again sorry for your loss...

Hey... at least you brought this 'vert gal back to her dignity (de-riced) before it was her time to go. Terrible shame to see all that hard work go to crap due to an accident. But, as you said, at least everyone walked away.

Please do buy it back from the insurance company so that you can part it out. There will be a lot of valuable 'vert specific parts to share with the rest of the forum, as well as the suspension mods and other stuff that was on the car when you bought it.

Dude that suck. Glad to hear everyones ok. I agree that women, for the most part, are horrible drivers. they need to take classes at least once a year or even more. Or make them get off their phones or not be allowed to carry any makeup with them in the car! There are way to many verts falling off the map to let anymore get hurt. so for now on i want everyone with a vert to drive with at least 2 other cars, one in front of them and one behind! lol.
