I only remember seeing 50 to 60 mph on the speedo. But the other guys that were with me said i was going faster. So I'm not really sure.

hey be fair. he did not show the damage sustained by the tree. It could be tiedTree = 1240sx =1we don't know unless he has pics of the tree.

His top photo is, I believe, of the tree he struck.

It took a little bruising, but trust me, the score is far in favor of the sessile plant here. Strong, healthy trees can deflect tank shells; they make short work of cars.

I don't mean to get into the street racing problem here, but there is no safe form of street racing. It is not a controlled environment. The safest (still not safe) would be to go to the desert at 4am where you can see miles around you. NEVER is it safe to race on city streets. excellent replythis gets to the point without flaming him too bad.it's such a shame to see a totaled 240, but it may still serve as a parts car in a junkyard to other s13's--at least.

probably the most annoying part, to me, is that Myrk stated that he usually does do his racing at the track. tsk tsk.

Mainevent212: The wing on the car in my sig was taken off about a month or two prior to the crash. I still have the wing with me still too. So i'll probably take a bat to the wing or something just for you.

As for the tree, it only has two big scratches from what i saw other than that nothing. Damn tree.

And I was the only one in the car again. I don't like to race with people in the car. On or off the track. My own precaution.

I think mainevent is secretly coveting that wing for HIS 240, but just doesn't want to admit it.

OOOooo!!! I street race everyonce in a while, only in strait lines tho. well, sometimes on curves, but only where I know the road. ( and more impoortantly know myself an my car!!) and yes its stupid!! story time, children!!

one time, at band camp, no wait.... one time, I raced my freinds feiro (3.4L from a camaro swapped in place of the 2.8, eibach springs and super grippy, super wide tires and rims, it ws an 88 gt too, supposedly the best feiro, which would make it a mild turd, instead of a huge turd) ANYWAY..... I had my little coupe with a timing chain on its way out, so we were racing home, coming around a big left corner thru a 4 lane intersection (2:00am, no one on the streets in fargo, ND) he decides to take it wide and cut around me. doesnt happen. for all that suspension and work, and all the bragging he had done for days, he got a one way ticket into the curb. couldn't make it, he locked up the brakes and took it right on the passengers side front wheel. I laughed SO hard!! he wasnt too impressed. last time he talked crap about my nissan.. that'll teach him to buy a GM parts bin car.

Thanx Night. Everyone loves their car wheather its a S13, S14, etc... The thing is trying to find another car. I've looked for the longest time only to find all Automatic 240sx around my area. I've looked into other cars too like older RX-7's, a 91 MR2 I'm looking at is looking pretty nice also still need to talk to the guy. And there is this 300zx that looks pretty good to.

But I still miss my S13 so I will probably end up getting another 240... only time will tell.
