ok here it goes again...so i fixed my last problem with the CAS. put it on the right timing. the whole nine. now....VERY RANDOMLY...but not so randomly i get this loss of electricity or power or something really f-up happens...and it goess like this...

after starting the car and letting it warm up nothing is wrong...i get to a stop light and all of a sudden you hear the engine drop rpms and simaltaniously the CEL will blink for that split second that the rpms dropped and turn off as soon as the rpms go back up to about 1100 rpms then slowly goes back to about 800....all that happens in a matter of about 2 seconds. one of those seconds happens the drop with CEL simaltaniously and the other second the rpms takes to go back to normal... this sometimes happens every 10-15 seconds at a light....sometimes it doesnt happen at all...heres where it get weirder.... sometimes i can bell full boost (stock 6-8 psi) hallin a$$ with no problems and sometimes it will randomly spudder...(when i mean spudder i mean it feels like it turns off then on again...but my lights all stay on with no backfiring what so ever) and at the same time the spuddering is going on the CEL is blinking with every spudder...just as fast...i checked the ECU and it gave me the 55 code... SERIOUSLY

It sounds to me like you have a loose connection somewhere.

I would check you alternator connections, all your engine grounds, the wiring for your ignition switch, the wiring for the ignitor, and the wiring for the ECU itself.

IAN my homie!!!i was wondering how long it would take for you to reply since i saw you online...lol....your always the first to reply to my post...i will have to run threw the connections again but thats pretty much where i started...lol...i guess im just starting to think like you...one thing i did notice is that im missing that (loop) in the back of the engine...the ground that comes off the coil pack harness is not on a loop as it shows in most engines its actually connected str8 to the chassie...odd i know besides that...i cant find anything...but i will check again...anything i might need to look at ?? btw i think i owe you a beer or two by now!!!

I would check the connection on that ground, it is a very important one, and if the connection is even a little fuzzy, it can cause all sorts of wicked issues.

On a side note. Is it normal for my s14 sr20det when I come to a stop the idle hoovers around 1100 then drops to 700 or so and then will idle for a while also when I turn on the a/c and headlights my idle drops to around 500 rpm then goes to a constant 700 or so -- is this normal or is there a idle air screw or way to adjust idle on the sr20s?

The issue also makes me think it could be MAF related since the car's cutting up on you under throttle. Make sure the connector is good and that the pins are clean.
