Thought I would bring this back up as I just took care of my burnt out bulbs. Here is the deal, there are two bulbs back there, if you look at that diagram you will see two dotted lines going from the bulb to the clock assembly, those two lines represent the two bulbs.

As far as Color goes, the bulbs them self are clear, but there are actually little orange colored rubber covers on the factory bulbs. So when you get your new set you actually have to pull the rubber covers off your old bulbs and put them onto your new ones. If your old ones don't have them then its probably because whoever replaced them last didn't do this.

Hope that helps with some of the confusion over the color of the bulbs, if you don't have the little rubber pieces maybe the dealer can locate some for you, good luck with that though............................ Boon

Boon, Thanks for the update. My clock is still white, as it has blue rubber covers on the bulbs??. Good to hear that it is the rubber covers that I need, and not new bulbs. My dealer wanted $36 for the two replacement bulbs. I guess I will attempt to track down the orange covers.

Thanks again, CD

No problem. Yea mine came with the blue covers too, I will call back to my dealer as he said two different part numbers came up. I will ask him to order the other set to see if those have the orange rubber on them. If they do then I will post the proper part number.................. Boon

Its pretty simple:

First you need to remove the AC controls/Display Surround. This is pretty easy because it just clips in, however you need to be careful not to dent or tear your dash as you pry it out. I have what is called a 90 degree pick tool that I use. It is very small in diameter and hooks in behind the panel so I can just pull straight out. You need something that you can kinda lip in there so you dont have to use the dash as leverage to pry it out. I have found that the easiest spot for me to get in and pull it out is half way up the on the driver side of the panel. Once you get it a little bit you can just put your fingers behind it and pull it the rest of the way out. Make sure once you unclip it that you disconnect the plugs and set it off to the side, you don't want to leave it hanging as it will be in your way and could scratch up the dash.

Now with that out of the way you will see the clock, there are two screws that hold it in and also two little dimples on the top that click it in place. First unplug the clock, (*** Note, the hazard plug and the clock plug are the same, make sure not to mix them up when putting back together***) then take out the two screws. Now using a small screw driver or pick tool pry up the clips on both side and slide the clock out towards the front of the car. You now have the clock out.

The next part is very simple, you will see two recessed holes that have phillips head impressions in them, those are the actually bulb. A 45 degree turn counterclockwise will unscrew them and they should just fall out.

Now just reverse the order and you are all set. Good luck and if this doesn't make sense to you then it is probably worth the money to let the dealer do it next time your getting an oil change.................. Boon

Just call your Infiniti dealer and let them know you need the bulbs for the clock in your car. They will look it up. Also Infinitipartsusa.com has them, after shipping it was cheaper for me to just get them from my local dealer, faster too.

Also make sure that when you get them you get 2 bulbs. For some reason Infiniti's system only shows there as being one in there, make sure to let them know you checked and you need 2.
