So, after removing another 200+ pounds from the car this past week, I decided it needed a little cleaner look in the rear seat area...

1/2" MDF, lots of test-fitting...

I'll cover it with foam and black vinyl for now.

Later on, I'll tackle making a fiberglass one with some nacelles behind the seats, but this'll do for now.

More pics as it progresses.

WOW. Looks fantastic so far. Can you take a shot of the whole car? I'd like to see how that looks with the whole vehicle in the picture.

Love the new seats as well... aftermarket? What brand are they?

Looks like a nice project! Do you suppose this or the fiber glass version would work with the top still useable?

Looks great. I'd say when you do the fiberglass version, it will look like it was meant to be built that way.

It would be nice if you made one like a boot and went over the top and the rear seat and had it still come up that far. Maybe even have it a soft vinyl that snaps like that all around to create that clean look.

Thanks guys, it was fun.

I considered a big chrome Nissan logo in the center, decided it'd be too gaudy.

I'm pretty pleased with it.

good question, or driving in the rain, or leaving it unattended in public, or dusty conditions, or boning underage girls in the back. what was the big pros to ditching the top??

btw, the cover looks tits.

Well ditching the top does help the vert lose some weight...he never rides with the top up anyways unlike some of us...

I guess Greg's gonna have Lady Luck riding shotgun with him so nothing bad happens. I must say though, not being able to bone jailbait anymore would be a very big disappointment.

I can't tell from the pics, but have you removed the side/quarter windows as well?
