I know you didn't mean to kick me in the balls...but you did. I kinda like to think we have the best Military because of the people in it. Without those people the technology wouldn't even exist. Yes money helps...a metric ton. But so does the training and education provided to our soldiers so we can design the future of our Military. The Military is working on several Hybrid replacements for the Hummer right now as a matter of fact.

Also, money has nothing to do with the fact that we are willing to die in order to save others or preserve their God given right to type on a car forum.

I was Combat Rescue for a long time...so it strikes a small nerve, unintentional as it may have been, I had to reply.

*on topic*

Green calipers = gay, love the rest of the car though.

Without getting into a long drawn out political battle here...I have known quite a few inlisted military or those seriously considering it and to be quite honest, very few of them went in wanting to protect their country. Very few of them had the brain power of my chihaua (Sp). They went in or were considering it because they had nothing better to do out here, couldn't get a regular job (one with tougher candidate requirements), thought they'd get to sit around and get paid and educated (though I'm not sure how their brains would have faired), and one of my best friends who's in the marines did it because he LOVES shooting people and wielding around weapons.

So, does this small sample describe our entire military force? Hell no! But...does it poke a big hole in the concept of our military being one voice, one direction (I like the BORG)? Yeah.

The only service people I can think of (as a whole) that are truly willing to sacrafice themselves are police and fire fighters. As I mentioned before I can count quite a few acquaintances/idiots who inlisted because it was better than being homeless or living with their parents.

Note: I do support our military and the sacrafices they make so that I can live an over luxurious life and not have to worry about outside invasion.

I don't support the hidden agendas of our political leaders and SOME of the BS that they feed the public and our troops to get them to fulfill those agendas.

Please forgive all the typos. I need sugar.
