cvt runs faster than 6mT? damn why didn't I get a cvt!? that's because it doesn't run faster than a 6mt. the missing clutch pedal didn't help either

cvt has it's place, just not in a sports coupe.

but then again, so does fwd

So as many of you might know, California is having a decent storm right now.

I have been running on slightly bald tires up until about two weeks ago I got 4 fresh Dunlops for stock rims.

Today as I was driving (and a couple times yesterday) my car felt like it was about to stall. I thought maybe I was just paranoid and my tires were just slipping but I have 4 brand new tires and I was super easy on the pedal. My rpms would be less than 2k and my car would sort of jolt forward.

I'm not sure if I'm experiencing the whining sound your transmission made but I might be. I turned the music off and it sounded like I had the vents going, problem is, I didn't have my vents on. It definitely didn't sound like the water my car was treading either. I couldn't pinpoint where the sound was coming from, and I don't really know what the transmission sounds like as it starts failing.

I really hope my cvt doesn't go out because I'm almost positive I won't be getting a 6spd, unless it goes out on me and I wind up totaling my car because of it which I really hope does not happen.

that is what happened to me. Id push the peddle and wouldnt get much of a response than it would jolt forward.

got my car back today. It feels weird, but maybe thats because I got used to driving the mercedes.

Congrats, I was without my car for about 1 month when I cracked my rack and pinion it sucked. Plus when I got my car back it was super filthy. First things I did was wash it then fill up the tank.
