I don't know if anybody has had the issues with their plastic OEM shroud like I had with mine. I was driving from Phoenix to the beach in California and while driving I heard an awful sound that seems like rubbing. I got off the freeway and checked my tires. All seemed good so I looked under the car. The plastic piece that attaches the front bumper to the radiator support and back towards the engine was half hanging off.

I always keep a socket set in the trunk so I went to work removing the rest of the 10 bolts and clips that were on the shroud and tossed the big plastic piece off to the side of the road. Thats how my car has been, until now.

Introducing the way it should have been done from factory...

ALUMINUM UNDER TRAY

* Made of .063 Aluminum - only slightly heavier than stock (by ~ 1 lb) and Aluminum does not rust

* Laser Cut - Precision fitment for all OEM bolt holes

* Increased Strength - Offers much better protection from road debris AND reinforces the bumper for high speed stability

* Vented Design - Helps keep airflow smooth all the way through whil venting out hot air for added cooling

* 3 piece design - no need to remove the whole shroud for most jobs, and replaceable front if you suck at parking!

* OIL DOOR - The stock oil door is too small and many people remove the whole shroud to get to the oil filter. NO MORE.

I'd love one for the the Coupe.

I asked in the oil change thread, but there is one in the Fabricator section, but is high to me.

Let me know on price and you may want to go through the channels to get approved to put in the Fabricators section.

Looks 180% better then the stock plastic one.

I took mine off and put it in my attic when I did the first oil change.

I'll put it back on if I EVER sell the car.

Ya the stock plastic one sucks. This one's gonna be great especially for the DIY oil change guys.

I know a ton of people that have the stock one rip off when you're on the highway.

I haven't heard back from Greg, I'm sure he's just been busy but if you could nudge him a little... If I lived in Phoenix still I'd drive over to his house and leave a note if he wasn't home.

If the shipping wouldn't cost my soul I would be all over this, I also had some problems with the plastic cover, if I'm at highway speeds, driving into the wind it can sometimes pop out as well...

Great job, the bends and cuts look really precise! Now send me the dimension, and the autocad file you used for this masterpiece so I can make one of my own, in carbon fiber !!!

You da man!!!

BAD - shipping to Canada is a lot higher because of the size even though its light. Quick UPS shows cost around $45 with the paypal discount.
Ouch, that hurts on shipping $. Maybe if a bunch of people want them we can conbine into one box for locals to pick theirs up from a single person or something.

G35X version of the shroud is now done. I just have to do a final test fit. Looks like that will happen tomorrow afternoon.

BTW, based off of Telcoman's....this is the same shroud they used in the 2007 Sedan as well.

Gotta see what the HR motors shroud looks like. Might fit all of them.

is this part really needed at all? my car is lowered and i've messed mine up twice (oem plastic)...so is this piece really needed or is it just nice to have to stop water and trash from getting sucked up?
