Shrouding does a lot for your engines cooling. While you don't NEED and under-tray, experimentation with 240sx's showed that radiator cooling panels (top and bottom) made much more difference in coolant temps than what radiator or fan setup they used.

^^ If you want to force air through the radiator properly, I'd suggest keeping an undershroud. Instead of using plastic like the OEM this is a much better replacement.

Any plans on making one for the G37? I have a 2010 and will buy one if you make it.

I'm ordering mine from him next week. Will get install pics posted. Probably will just spray paint the lower side before installing.

I would like to make one for the G37, but I don't really know any local guys with one to test fit.

I think the 2007-2010 will all fit the same with the HR motor for the G's.

I'll let ya know if I get it figured out as far as fitment. Just gotta find someone here to test it out on.

Any guinea pigs, er, I mean volunteers?

Sounds pretty painless, aside from time- I would love to offer up my car as a tester, but I'm a bit of a drive away...

well, right now I'm in between moves. I'm moving from Salt Lake City and I'm heading down to Las Vegas this upcoming week.

I finally have a G37 to test fit on here in SLC that I know and i won't have enough time to test fit. haha

I hear you! No rush, I'm in the middle of getting ready for a move myself.

Good luck- I think you will have no problem finding a G37 test car to fit upthe undershroud once you get settled.

SLC to Vegas? That's kind of like going from O'douls to Chimay...

thanks for the answer from my earlier question. I will have to see if my aftermarket front bumper will be able to use the shroud or not. I should be getting it delivered and installed this month! pics will be coming http://www.streetbeatcustoms.c...0173/

^^ that bumper looks like a OEM NISMO replica
Most aftermarket bumpers don't have holes so you just place the shroud up and drill your own holes. Several aftermarket bumpers stick 3-4 inches past the OEM.

bump to the top for people who want to protect their engine with more than just plastic.

Typical aftermarket bumpers actually are 3-4" longer than the stock bumper. I have accounted for this variation and it is availble for anybody who may need one.

THREAD REVIVAL

I am going to be fabricating one of these up for the G35 HR, and G37 guys, is there from you G37 guys out there for an aluminum undershroud so you can change out your oil and filter without having to remove your whole shroud?

Nobody changes their own oil on here anymore or wants better engine protection?

You know I still want one, just no money. Everything keeps going wrong and making me spend money (ie landscaping and door lock actuator currently).

Had to do an oil change last weekend and was really wishing I had one. Especially when my cordless screwdriver battery died.

I know you do. I'll be waiting. lol

I would think that the G35 HR and G37 crowd would be just as interested in it though. I was gonna get one setup for these guys.

You are selling on ebay: A bit pricey...Item # 150473955149 for 350Z G35 Aluminum Undershroud Engine Cover Shroud- may be you should call it Engine Shield like the OEM.

John, did you ever manage to make one that actually matches the screw holes on a 2011 G37x sedan? You'll recall I gave up after two shipments and crawling under my car twice to R&R the original shield.

So nobody gets the wrong idea, I'll acknowledge that you took the second one back and gave me a full refund.
