Lloyd,

You were doing well till the last sentence, not sure why you have to take things to the personal side. No wonder you get in pissing matches with others in this forum. .

I'd suggest that maybe, since you're generally disgusted with the A/C and it's knock-off status, you consider sticking to the G Forums.

--Wind

(Note, i'm bowing down to you since you're obviously better than us A/C Owners)........
First of all my comments were made in August 2007 - why revive this thread??? (for the record - when i reread my comments they did seem kinda harsh - BUT - they were in response to the notion that G35 owners are jealous - so it was already made personal I just responded).

For the record I'm not disgusted with the AC - it is a nice car - and is only getting better now that the aftermarket is starting to catch up. This is why I made it a point to invite AC owners to the recent meet we had in Maryland. I come to the AC forum because there is more discussion here and as owning a Infiniti Branded Nissan - I can often answer questions and provide insight.

It only becomes a pissing match if I happen to say something negative about the AC - and a handful of AC owners take that personally. Actually even other AC owners get flack for mentioning the negatives of the car. All cars have negatives G35s included, sorry.

Back in August of 2007 when the local Nissan dealer had a 4 cylinder AC on the lot with a sticker of 32k ( included price inflated aftermarket rims) - it did not make sense to me why you would pay above market price for the AC when ...............

So I know that with the splitting of the Altima forum - has caused old threads to become new - I ask what is the purpose of reviving a thread that is likely to end in an argument? Also - no need to use my government name - Cali is just fine.

I agree, no need to revive this thread. Too much discussion of the comparisons. Enough already!

Cali 2 Balti G, I personally thought your comments were well collected and non-offensive.

I'll never get tired of hearing it from both sides but it's pretty comic to me. The fact that any G owner would ever bash on a car that looks so much like itself. I agree they're not sisters or whatever you want to call them but the similarity is right there in front of everyone. I personally love the look of the G35 more from the front but favor the Altima's rear, pretty familiar comment. I was personally called a poser by a G owner because I completely debagged by Altima, which I've done to every car I've owned (cleaner). You can say disapproval or envy, but the car is just about on an even playing field from everything to style to performance. It's just sad, I can't get away from the ignorance no matter what class car I drive…. Thought I would have left it behind with the Civics and tC's…..

But my fault for coming in on a topic that was beat to death....

LOl.. I opened this thread thinking to myself... ... then I checked the dates and saw how old this thread was... only a few here have been around long enough to have read the NUMEROUS threads on which we have covered this topic...

Also, I don't think this thread was revided on purpose, but rather by accident since the changing of the threads causes them to look as though they've been responded to recently, and then someone chimes in without looking at the las post date and ...here we are.. but to get back on the original topic

I personally absolutely love the newer G35 sedans.. they are super quick, beautiful, and just bad a$$ all around. The inside of them is simply gorgeous also. And as much as i love Pioneer navigation systems, I would forget about all the extras of the pioneer systems and get the G35 sedan's navi system in a heartbeat. I've had the chance to play with both the Nissan nav system and the Infiniti Nav system,. and I love the infiniti system...especially the rotary control of the 3D viewing angles!

OK that's my .02 ... let's all play and get along, no need to revive hard or harsh feelings... I think all of us that are in NY this weekedn will spend equal amounts of time in the NIssan and Infiniti areas, probably more in the Infiniti areas... wait, take that back.. the Nissan Turbo Coupe and GT-R will be there....I'll be in the Nissan area...

I have a dream!!!! I have a dream that one day, G35 coupe owners and A/C owners will hold hands and sing, and play together, and attend car meets together without fighting, without bickering... if only to unite against the Hondas and Acuras, and be proud of the fact that Nissan is finally building cars as nice if not nicer than its Japanese counterparts.

...LOL...

No but seriously, Cali, i saw the same thing you saw.. a 2.5S Nissan A/C fully loaded with $3500.00 overpriced dealer installed option wheels for a whopping $32,000 and my opinion then was also

Cali,

Duly noted, apologies for not paying attention to the dates on the thread, my fault.

As for the rest, just understand that for some of us, and I will speak for myself personally, some comments are inflammatory (or at least can be taken as such) and will generally result in a response.

Just for some perspective (and, I apologize for jumping to paint you into the same fabric), I for one am tired of some of the superior attitude of some G drivers. This is especially at issue for myself because I don't spend any time (at all) bashing the G (And we all know that it has its own set of issues and concerns).

So, once again, apologies.

We can do a side by side and discuss the pros and cons of both optioins.

It has been some time since the original post, more people have the AC in their hands, I assume prices have come down -my biggest criticism of the AC was the price back in Aug - Sticker or Above-sticker - this is what made the comparisn interesting for me.

Also - availability was much less back then with many folks pre-ordering cars at the higher prices.

Is it possible to do this comparison using actual facts, and no personal attacks? Opinions are welcome - as long as they are stated as such.
