Altima coupe PROJECTOR poll

Here a poll for people seriously committed to buying a set of projector headlights. We'd have to give a deposit (most likely being a third of the price of headlights costing possibly around 350$) and be high in numbers (150 people).

We have contacted lots of peoples and we have found TWO at the moment that could possibly get in touch with people in asia to mass make the projector headlights.

here is what they said:

I would love to provide projector headlights to you, but I would need at least 150 orders with cash deposits before the factory will make the headlights. To make headlights costs about $300,000 for tooling, design, development and quality control. I tried to do something similar a few years back with a bunch of Toyota Matrix owners, but they wouldn’t commit. Let me know if you’re interested and I can put forth an order.

hello i received your email and i am working with taiwan suppliers to see what we can come up with, since this particular model is not made in asia to my knowledge, its a little hard to produce something, but i will definitely keep you updated if i could come up with something.

I think the housing could be offered in both black or clear colors and wouldn't have to be either one or the other.

Yea I would make a deposit, but not if the totel price is going to be over $1000. I really want projectors but I dont want to pay out my A$$ for them. It would also be nice to know which design they were going with before we shell out the cash.

Will they work with HID's?? I know some after market projector's dont allow HID's due to the heat from them.

I am 1000000% down for this. I will put the money upfront for it. Just wanna make sure though that the final price will not sky rocket like some were mentioning and also, I wanna make sure that HID's can be used with these as well.

As to the color of the inner housing, I would perfer clear/chrome rather than a black or smoke color seeing that nothing else in my car carries those colors. If they can do a body color match, that would be great!

As to the amber color light, will that be the running light or turn signal? I'm not trying to be picky, but the whole idea about getting new light housing I thought was to eliminate the amber marker. Also, what color will the angle eyes be if they are incorporated on to the projectors?

I'd put money down, but my only concern is that they don't change the design idea that is given to them. If we could decide on a good design and they mutilate it, I'd be pretty pissed about being out that money (and I'm not putting something ridiculous looking on my car).

+1. I wouldn't put money down until I saw the actual product and was sure it was what I wanted. I love the design you have above pictured.

How much total are we talking? Your $350 sounds like 1/3 the price of the total, so are we talking $1050 for a set of new headlights?

I am defenetly down 150% if they are only $350. When you get all the info, you should post a sticky titled "order your projection lights now". then maybe you can get more of a response. We should also see if any local shops or internet retailers would want to get in on this. They might want to buy them in bulk.
