I am looking to buy a grill for my 2009 Altima Coupe (All black, woo! woo!) but I do not know which one I should get.

I am looking at two grills at the moment

&&

However the 1st grill is a "replacement style" and the 2nd one is an "overlay style". Does anyone here have an overlay style grill? If so could you post pics. Because I do not want to get an overlay grill and it doesn't look like it belongs on the car or it has the factory grill still showing.

Thanks in advance =)

They both suck, get the C-mod grille in the links if you have a black coupe.

Some updated pics of my coupe...http://forums.altimas.org/zero...coupe

ok they may suck...but that doesn't answer my question... =(

Will the overlay grille fit in flush? Or will it bulge out since its an overlay? That's all I want to know!

If anyone has any overlay grilles, feel free to post pics!

IDK if this helps, but this is the grill I'm considering...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...t_998

I plan to color matcht the chrome mustache the same silver as the car,m and only have the billet from this grill in silver/aluminum...

I can't attest to how it looks in person, as I won't be getting this until next month!

the c-mod grille has its flaws as well...

poorly designed with gaps on the corners

the top does not flow well with the factory hood, creates unparallel lines which looks tacky in any color expect black on black...

I would definitely NOT get the c-mod grille... poor overall construction IMo that onbly looks good on ESp's car because he colormatched the surround t his black car, thuis eliminated the appeance of gap and uneven lines...

look at it up close on a blue car and your thought will probably be

the first person to own the cmod grille was Mendi, he had a blue car, the pics of it on the car look bad, and he sold his after like one day

I love my C-Mod grille, but I'd like to see it colour-matched on a non-black coupe before I could recommend it to anyone else.

its crazy how the same grille can look sooo different on different color cars... your grille/color combo is the sexiest setup I've seen using the stock bumper... and even sexier than most aftermaket front fascias as well... its the sweet simplicity of it that I like... it makes it look really sexy, not too aggressive at all

honestly, I don't think it will look very good on silver car... I mean I could color match the surround, but I still think the gaps will come off as shadows against the edges, thus detractign from the look... also, its easy to lose track of the line on the top with the surround painted in black... but I think it will show up badly if painted in silver...

2nd, if the surround is painted in silver, the center will need to be painted in black.. however, I've seen the cmod on a sedan that painted the silver black, and after rock chips, it looks awful (rock chips appear white)... but since you painted your center white, the rock chips will barely be noticeable IMO.. again, that's the genius of the colro combo you chose!

rjdmmfl1 ...which grill do you recommend?...I was actually considering the c-mod grill very heavily until I saw your post. I have a midnight blue coupe and was going to paint the mesh and the radiator black...

Looks sick man.. did you get that roof overlay from BlueBat or Phenom? I was gonna get the BlueBat gloss black overlay, thought it'd show a nice contrast between Dark Slate. Also, your trunk looks pretty sexy completely debadged.. I left my Nissan burger badge on, but took off the rest. Now I'm thinking about taking that off too :D
