im waiting for my set to come in the mail.....im glad someone else who has super black got them....i was afraid i was going to be the first! i see you decided to go with the coupe eyelids over the sedan eyelids....any reason for this? (besides the fact that you have a coupe)

also.....were they a hard installation and do you have any installation tips?

Come on man... Bina... look at my picture.. .does it look like the batmobile eyelid? have you seen them before?

This is a fiberglass eyelid (its like a tiny body panel) that was paint matched...

well the reason i asked is because they look like coupe eyelid style that he did

why did you go with these over BlueBat's eyelids?

Thats a broken link... idk what you are referring to...

I wanted something that would shine like the car, and i think this looks better... To each his own.. as long as that damn amber strip is covered and disconnected!

you wont see your reflection in that vinyl.. and i dont think its an exact match... (although it may be, depending on color)... I just like the look of the fiberglass better... it looks more aggressive IMO

I beg to differ... i think mine look a lot more aggressive...

Regardless.. not to upset bat or the overlay guys... but overlays work on tinting great... (tails)

As far as eyelids are concerned though, i dont think a piece of vinyl can get the same look as an extra piece of the body... it wont shine as well either... Also, vinyl is dirt cheap (like 20 bucks for a 30 ft roll) and you can cut yourself 200 eyelids out of that... (i think bat should be charging $10-15 for the eyelid overlays) (and make some decals to boot!)... but then you have to worry about the install... (or paying someone else to do it)....

Again.. everyone has their own take on the look... to each his/her own... if you take a pic of bats overlays on a black coupe and hold it side by side to my picture i think you will see what i mean... i think the fiberglass is head and shoulder a better pick...

I agree.. I like Andy and his products so I won't bash his eyelids, but I do also like the idea of perfect color matching the eyelids with actual fiber glass overlays. It sticks up a bit more and is more aggresive... I think it would grab your attention ! Looks nice Brian!

Yeah.

After a few more looks I'm kind of warming up to them as well. My first impression was tacky, but without the amber strip it does look better.

LBC, where did you get them painted? Or did you do it yourself?

I had them sprayed at a local shop... i didnt feel like paying for them or doing it myself, so i asked my nissan tech to just leave them at the painter until they were doing other black nissan stuff...

its disconnected from the inside so it doesnt light up... the eyelid covers it on the outside. You can only see it if you are standing at a certain angle on the side of the car
