I think I found a good combo for my blond leather.

here's the original:

and here's the metalic one.

Now I just have to find the name of that color (brushed aluminium ??) and order some samples

tell me what you guys think about it

i thiunk you'd be better served just buying the metallic version from the factory rather than covering up the woodgrain with a dash kit... most likely, the dash kit won't fit 100% perfectly... the end result will be areas where woodgrain will show under the metallic dash kit...

The area under the nav looks good... but not so well on the doors.

I've been wanting to do brushed aluminum trim for a long time now, but I don't want to just stick some on. I'm waiting for a replacement kit.

+1 I was going to say the exact same.

I agree the brushed aluminum look is an improvement over the wood grain too.

also,l for the curved trim piece on the door handle, you will need a molded dash kit for that. you will see peeling from a tradional flat kit, on those parts.

it may be useful to consider trading your with someone that just has the plain ivory ones or black ones.. that way, if you can't find a molded piece to cover the woodgrain, it won't be such an eyesore!

UPS called me today and wanted to know what address to send the mountie to. They said you are a meanie and then said something in french i didnt understand...

I dig the look, id want the switchpanels on the doors covered i think... they kinda look out of place

DR may be right, seeing wood on the corners would be a massive fail.

I think the metallic trim looks good, but I am not sure if it matches as well with the blond interior. The wood grain is nice Mehdi, why change it?

EXACTLY! Its not anyones fault that some of your parents(not aimed at you burton) fuel the highest teenage death #s... Auto Accidents... Im sure your parents thought they were "doing the right thing" when you were whining about a "crappy 4 cylinder" and they got you what you were asking for just to shut you the hell up.

You arent complaining about gas prices because that Exxon card in your pocket has mamas name on it!

And that picture of your ride in ya mammas driveway doesnt cut it either!

Now PLEASE lets leave the 2.5/3.5 nonsense alone!Even on the G forums where im a small fry no one bust chops like this.

lol at the dealership my dad was trying to get me a 07 Nissan 350z but i said no, i don't want a 2 seater lol and i chose my A/C...... so 2.5 was never even an option for me..... but the 2.5 has it's attributes. no need for premium gas, it's better on gas, cheaper insurance, etc plus my mom had a 2005 stick shift 2.5s altima before she traded it in for her 07 Maxima and that thing was pretty quick. it felt quicker then my 3.5se but thats cuz it was a stick shift and stick shift always feels fast

I would just order the trim pieces for the doors and console area from the cars that come with black interior. Don't the 2.5's and the 3.5's have slightly different silver trim. Take your pick. It would be factory vs finding and overlay kt and most likely look better. I did something similar when I had an 03 G35 4dr. They all came with the painted trim pieces on the door handles. I did not like them because they were not laminated and scratched very easy. The wood trim pieces were optional with a package I did not have on my G35, so I ordered them separately from a dealer and popped them on. I also changed out the auto gear shift because the original came with aluminum trim and the package option hand one with wood trim. Almost all the pieces you want should be able to be ordered separately from the dealership parts department in a silver trim (just not the radio and vent faceplate part).

Brian, I think part of it comes from a need to feel superior. To try and clown or diss (even in a joking/mildly sarcastic way) someone becuase of their choice in vehicle is just wrong for a number of reasons.

Everyone wants to be the leader of who's got the hottest ride, who's got the hottest wheels, who's got the fastest car, and then look down on someone else that they don't feel is on par. In this case, sarcasticaly dissing folks that have the exact same car with a different engine. I own both a 3.5 and 2.5 Altima and I love them both for various reasons.

Cmon folks, let's PLEASE not turn this forum into nissanclub.com!

That's like me coing on here and saying everyone else's audio systm is grabage because they don't have my setup. That's ridiculous on so many levels.

LET'S INCREASE THE PEACE!!!!!!
