classic cars nissan in hainesport, NJ. good part about that is that it's only a few miles from my work (i'm in moorestown) so i can easily be shuttled back and forth whenever i have to take it to the shopSarcanglk wrote:Welcome! Finally another philly area member... I'm probably in the same boat as you in the case of all dealers in our area hating my guts... Where did you get your AC?
my total out-the-door price was about $31,600, and this includes a 6-year/100k warranty to replace the standard 3/36Sarcanglk wrote:how much did it bring it down to? If you don't mind me asking
Lets set one up... I was looking at the meet in NY that happened on Friday and it got me excited for a meet of our own :Pmarlin29311 wrote:Welcome! and go Philly! I miss being in philly all the time (I went to St. Joe's) - hopefully there will be some meets soon!
Not bad, I got the 3.5SE CVT fully loaded, but with the moon roof deflector and aluminum kickplates, as well as a dealer bonus of a painted+installed ebay wing (which I really like) and the extended warranty for 33k last year.wjm3982 wrote:my total out-the-door price was about $31,600, and this includes a 6-year/100k warranty to replace the standard 3/36
I tried already and noone showed. It suppossedly was a bad day... we should try again. LBC mentioned an Atlantic City meet. I'd be in for that. Grab a hotel-- stay the night, gamble, drink, and the usual.Sarcanglk wrote:Lets set one up... I was looking at the meet in NY that happened on Friday and it got me excited for a meet of our own :P
LOL I remember that attempt at a meet. Maybe the AC meet would bring more numbers because it is AC. I was looking at the member location map from http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread/357013 thread and it seems like there is potential for a lot of ACs in AC.maxentropy wrote:I tried already and noone showed. which specific mods of yours do you think will void the warranty? i don't want to end up voiding something that i spent $1000 on!maxentropy wrote:Not bad, I got the 3.5SE CVT fully loaded, but with the moon roof deflector and aluminum kickplates, as well as a dealer bonus of a painted+installed ebay wing (which I really like) and the extended warranty for 33k last year.
I'm thinking of dropping the warranty due to all my modifications.
Anything that needs to be fixed as a result or impact from an aftermarket modification that the dealer did not install.wjm3982 wrote:which specific mods of yours do you think will void the warranty? i don't want to end up voiding something that i spent $1000 on!
You've only really done suspension work, so you don't have much voided. Warranties are all up to personal preference, however. You generally don't get your money's worth (otherwise they wouldn't sell them). But the money you don't get back (unless something goes majorly wrong) buys you some peace of mind. Toss up...maxentropy wrote:Anything that needs to be fixed as a result or impact from an aftermarket modification that the dealer did not install.
So far I've done quite a bit (check sig for my mods).
Problem being you can trace suspension to many issues, so for me it may be a struggle to fight out the warranty coverage if I needed it, and to me now I feel almost compelled to call and cancel to get as much money back as I can. (To spend on more mods)AppleBonker wrote:You've only really done suspension work, so you don't have much voided. Warranties are all up to personal preference, however. You don't have to justify that to me. I understand the desire for money for mods.maxentropy wrote:Problem being you can trace suspension to many issues, so for me it may be a struggle to fight out the warranty coverage if I needed it, and to me now I feel almost compelled to call and cancel to get as much money back as I can. The dealer has to prove that the mod had a direct fault to the problem in hand. Also, if they do prove that a problem was due to a mod then they can void the warranty to the specific part but not the whole car.maxentropy wrote:Anything that needs to be fixed as a result or impact from an aftermarket modification that the dealer did not install.

Oh trust me, I know this law. I was simply stating that in my case I personally believe the stealership would attempt to relate any and all issues with my modified suspension. In my eyes, I'd rather get it fixed at a local shop and pay 1/4 of what the stealership would want. As for warranty-- the way they make cars now one can be pretty sure you'll be fine until 80-100k+ miles... and for me that's when the warranty runs dry.Sarcanglk wrote:The dealer has to prove that the mod had a direct fault to the problem in hand.
