to my fellow pennsylvanians in this thread, regarding window tint: i've already been to tintcenter and read the "laws" on there (the reason i put law in quotes is because of this: http://www.berksweb.com/users/dmv/tint/), but 70% tint seems like an absolute joke, and i noticed that some have even gone as low as 30%

i live in philly and will be taking it someplace around here to get it done. will they recommend me a level to go with where i shouldn't have problems with cops?

also, do any of you with really dark tints (20-35%) have any problems with seeing out while driving, or attempting to park? i'm still getting used to parallel parking this beast since i used to drive a sedan, but even with the rear camera i screw up a good 50% of the time. i wouldn't want anything hindering my skills any further

I have 35% front, 18% rear-- no problems, never pulled over.

I did, however, get pulled over in New York for illegal tint... still waiting on that ticket

By the way-- I have a great tint guy but he is in Spring City, PA.

Well in the heart of Philly they will not pull you over for any tints (I go to school in North-East Philly), you can get 5 percent if you want to. Cops have more things they have to worry about. But if you drive in the suburbs around Philly you have to be more careful. I work in Newtown, PA and cops here are a pain in the ***. 3 of my friends got caught for their tints(one got caught 2ce). You should factor what I just said to what percent you want to get, I feel 30 percent is just right and will not attract attention from cops.

yeah, i figured while in the city, cops basically wouldn't even look twice. however, i drive into jersey five days a week for work, and the cops there are notorious for not really having anything better to do. i was recently pulled over for "speeding" when i was going about 6-7 mph over the speed limit. luckily i come from a family of cops and know how to talk to them respectfully, so the dude let me off with just a warning

i'm definitely not interested in going too dark due to it simply attracting far too much attention. i'm mostly doing it for the protection from heat and the health benefits rather than just style, but hell, i'm not gonna lie and say i don't like how a car looks with a sweet tint job on it

i should be in pretty good shape in that regard. i'll probably be putting less than 300 miles per week on the bad boy, and most of that is highway, or very close to it. i don't get stuck in any traffic to/from work, so i should be getting good gas mileage. tomorrow will be a week of driving, and i've still got a quarter tank in her. i don't expect to be spending more than $200-$250/month

i just moved to south philly after living in the northeast for my entire life. so far, it's been wonderful. i actually have nice neighbors that, while nosy, like me and have said they'll make sure to look out for my nice new car. my neighbors in the northeast not only would never have done that, but they would probably be the first ones to key my car or throw rocks at it out of jealousy/spite

There are plenty of decent bars nearby too if you wanna grab one or two. Lemme know. If not, there's always next week!

So I ended up heading over last night. It was sprinkling but there was still a large turnout-- 15-25 rides in total. Was a good time, would love to meet up with some more coupe folks. Saturday meets are supposedly kinda weak whereas the tues meets are pretty darn decent.

Anyway I wanna hear your artisan exhaust so we should meet up sometime soon. by the way, what injen you selling? the polished or black?
