They have AWD ca18's. What you need to do is look at the entire drivetrain of the skyline vs. the 240sx, and look at the differences. You have to mount all 4 coilovers, Make sure all driveshafts, axels clear. Make sure the power steering will hook up as well as brakes. Your biggest problem i can think of is getting the front driveshaft to clear everything.

The biggest problem is going to be getting all the electronics working properly.

ABS sensors, G sensor, transfer case....

good luck man. yeah tell us how everything works out. Shouldn't be to bad because you have an entire r33 to use. Don't let people get you down. Some people told me that RHD conversion was stupid, pointless, expensive and my car would be down for months. Well the total cost of the project (including little things like masking tape and the one bolt I had to buy) cost me $134.39 including the clip ($50). Working the hardest Ive ever worked on anything the total time was 8 days. HA! and thats doing everything in my garage. not bad for a 20 year old.

I can get you guys some pictures. My mechanic is in the process as we speak. S13 w/ awd Rb20. He was goin to make an awd rb26 s13 but he sold the motor to someone else. This guy is Nissan nuts. He completely cut out the strut towers from the S13 and welded in skyline gtr strut towers with full suspension and brakes. Like I said, nuts. I know a ton of you are goin to call bs but its cool, I'll just get some pictures up in few days. This car is goin to be badass.

how is everyone doing on this swap? I stopped to do a rhd conversion to my car. The deal fell into my lap so I couldn't pass it up. Did all the work myself only took 9 days. Not to bad:) anyways Im still interested in a AWD conversion. Ive seen a few awd civics that were done with a CRV train... we have to fight back:)

And CRV drivetrains transfer like 80% to the front wheels still.

Waste of time. I'd rather save my money and buy some bigass slicks. Who needs AWD.. it's just more weight.

The problem is the Skyline is wider....than the 240sx so you can not just weld in a clip the project is possible , but is a investment of at least 30K worth it just for awd system........

With good fabrication skills and good engineering sense the swap is possible. The front crossmember should just bolt in to the 240sx so the problem of mounting the engine is solved. Also, the front shafts line up with the front wheels on the 240sx. Would be a great swap for someone with some money and time. BTW, I will try to dig up the article of the 240Z that was converted to AWD with the RB26 setup. It was a 1000hp drag car. Here is a link to some pics.http://www.komycars.jp/drag/z.html

My real worry would be the suspension aspect. Getting the geometry right, but it wouldn't be that hard if you had a straight clip and good measurments. The only other thing is that your putting new suspension mounts in new places so reinforceement is definitely a must
