I honestly don't think so... I like the idea of both gens being under the "Rogue" section. Just my .02

Given that the 2014 model is significantly different from the first gen, could/should we have a separate/sub forum for it? After all this has been done for the Z's (300 and 350/370), while the Altima is divide between sedan and coupe.

Thoughts, opinions, comments?
I vote no on a sub forum, it is still the same car. Plus it has the same engine. It's not like the first gen was the Rogue 300 and the 2014 Rogue is the Rogue 350.

Positive review.

I am not a big fan of silver on vehicles, but I honestly really like the way silver makes the 2014 look. Silver may be the best color on it!

To be fair that is going to be a positive review because it is from a Nissan dealer, so it's actually biased. Actually that is my Nissan dealer lol

That's cool that its your dealer. You should tell the guy you saw him on Youtube and have him shout out Nicoclub on his next video...

Youre right it will be biased from a dealer, I guess I was looking at the facts he was stating and less the opinion... Like the engine note being somewhat deep. Then he revved it and it was... Lol... Sounds silly, but my Rogue's engine tone is not deep its more tinny sounding... And I like the way it looked driving moreso than anything lol... Its pretty in silver

The 2014 officially launched yesterday. I did a search for inventory in my area, so I could take one for a spin...nothing. Not one of them is in stock in the greater STL area. Kind of a bummer. I'd of thought being only 4.5hrs away from Nashville that some inventory would have made it's way over here in time for the launch day.

I just checked http://www.nissanusa.com/crossovers/rogue and plugged in multiple area codes for local offers. All results came up empty.

My local dealer was supposed to have a demo (before release) one about 3-4 weeks ago and they kept getting pushed back because of "fit and finish" issues.... I still don't think they've got their demo.... I'm going to swing by today and find out.

So I went by the dealership today... They did not have a new Rogue... The manager said that Nissan is releasing them tomorrow.... But that they cancelled the program that allowed dealerships to get demos weeks in advance... I asked him why and he stated that it was the fit/finish issues he told me about before... He said the new Pathfinders, Altimas, and Rogues all have issues with that here and there...

He said, "That 'never buy the first model year' stuff has never been more true"... He blames Nissan using different manufacturers which produce inferior parts in the name of cost cutting.... He says that's the route all automakers are going down.... That's just a friendly PSA for anyone on here that wants a 2014 Rogue... Wait for the 2015 ;-)

NBC's Sunday Night Football had all sorts of "Brought to you by the all new Nissan Rogue" graphics up through the pre-game, but the actual commercials were for the Sentra. Which indicates to me that Nissan is indeed having last-minute issues with early production and is last-minute delaying rollout and switched commercials last-minute, but NBC didn't have time to change their graphics.

Local Delaware dealership says they will be getting in eight 2014 Rogues later this month, but couldn't give an exact date. Maybe by Thanksgivukkah?

McGrath Nissan (Elgin, IL) has one available (not sure what trim or if it's AWD or FWD, though) for a test drive, so may just do that this weekend.

So, Illinois is special? Continental Nissan needs to update their website as they're still using stock photos from the first gen model. Which reminds me, can you guys get some on site shots? Or upload video with your inpressions with livetream or ustream?

I purchased a 2014 Nissan Rogue SL AWD last night! :chuckle: :chuckle:
It is black with black leather and every option except a new lighting options. Got it for below the TMV on KBB and Edmunds of 31811 from MSRP 32920 so I hope I got a good deal! Nissan really impressed me by my home. Let me test drive new rogue 1time with dealer, 1 time with me in backseat by my request and let me drive it solo with a dealer plate. I decided over the course of maybe 4 or 5 visits. Hyundai Santa Fe nearly had me then I got bad vibes and I took my $30k to Nissan.
I will take delivery in January! Anyone else purchase? I'm hoping my deal was good and I SHOULD be getting the 250prepaid card reward since I reserved online before Nov 12 then purchased yesterday and will take delivery by January. My dealer seemed to think I needed to sign a purchase agreement by Nov 12 but the fine print didn't read like that.
I do know at least 1 cayenne red SV AWD 2014 rogue with a sunroof sold the 25th so theyre moving!

Nissan Canada still doesn't even list the 2014 Rogue model as available yet, still stuck with 2013! But that's always the way these things shake out, not sure why but I guess we're used to it up here!!

Hey has anyone checked out a Rogue with 3rd row seating? I'd like to know impressions and some details. I am not expecting it to be a good option for adults, but am hoping it's a good option for two small children under 10 yrs old to free up the 2nd row for adult passengers on short in-town trips.

What I can tell you is that if you opt for the third row seating, you loose the spare tire (tyre to non Yanks). Instead you'll get run-flats, and that opens a whole new can of worms. Apparently they're subject to rather uneven treadwear, and as near as I can tell, it's recommended they're replaced in pairs. Not to mention they're noiser than standard tires.

Wow number 3 behind the CRV and CX-5 huh... Interesting... I find it hard to believe they've got to know the vehicle THAT much in the few weeks that its been out. They don't even know if the thing is going to be reliable or anything....

I agree, its a lazy review and conclusions are drawn mostly from the manufacturer's marketing and promises of greatness.

I am pretty confident the new Rogue will be reliable but its not gauranteed, the redesigned Pathfinder has been horribly unreliable for the 2013 and into the 2014 model year mainly due to the new redesigned CVT, which uses a more solid chain drive compared to the flexible steel mesh belt used in all other CVT's including that in the Rogue. Hopefully the Rogue will avoid these problems, and I think it will because the Altima uses both the V6 powertrain as in the Pathfinder and the 4-cylinder that will be used in the new Rogue, problems all seem to be related to the V6 CVT.

It is a bit of disappointment for me that the QR25DE 4-cylinder carried over from the outgoing model unchanged, its not a bad engine, its reliable but its very unrefined and noisy, especially in really cold weather like I'm experiencing now (-20 C daytime high, close to -30 over night). Valvetrain noise, injectory noise and possibly timing chain noise too all make this thing sound horrible inthe cold, and mine takes FOREVER to warm up. No bid deal for my 2008, I'm used to it, but if I'm going to spend $30k on a new one I need to have an upgrade and I'm not going to get it, so I'll probably look at a nice used Toyota Highlander next if I can find an ok price on a used one, maybe even the RAV4 as a more sure bet in terms of reliability.

those vibrations cause the exhaust sheild to rattle making that noise that everyone here keeps blaming on the transmission.

Its actually a hesitation and shuddering that the owners are experiencing.
