I never did ask you what kind of coilovers your running...? BC? Did you run eibachs before coilovers at all or how low is your car compared to stock at maxed low?

it looks awesome repping hard for the 2010's. you should definently get the cmod grille. it would give it such a clean look, and with blackout taillights and the top of your headlights blacked out too?? you will be looking like batman haha i wish i had a black car sometimes

That's debatable. I think the 10+ cmod is seriously lacking in the aesthetically pleasing dept. Stock grill looks way better imo.

has anyone else noticed that 2011 grills look a bit better then 2010?

just a random thought, 2011's have less of that ugly chrome mustache on them

good catch, i never noticed that. the 2011 is growing on me more and more, although i'm still not down with those ugly a** headlights (although i'll admit, having projectors would be nice)

How is the 2011 grille different than the 2010? I have a 2010. Mine isnt the grille with the mustache on it. I admit though I do like the earlier models headlights more than the 2010's but the projectors are nice. I just dont like the buldge it has. They must have thought it would melt or something.

I want more wide! Might just order two more 9.5's for rears with lower offset though. and try to sell the old 2 lol... Cause I LOVE these wheels. Everything's perfect, just new rears and bigger tires to kill tire gap and I'll be set!

Hah, expecting that a lot of people will respond like this. But it's gonna make the revelation THAT much better! Thanks I guess. Hopefully you will see why when I get wider of the same make for the rears, or even better, if this other company stuff works out. The latter would be so sick but we'll just have to wait and see..

Phenom - lol idk how aggressive you wanna go but I don't want anything crazy so don't bank on me lol. But I really like oilsink's setup so you might wanna ask him, bund4th or Fga coupe for more aggressive fitments. I've just always had a goal in mind and don't wanna get too sucked into the movement if you know what I mean.

Johnny - If you do decide to and need two 5mm let me know

Trigger - you got one guy ahead of you. If that goes sour I'll let you know. With tires though cause I doubt I'll be able to ever get rid of the tires later on lol.

Lower offset for sure, unless you want to run spacers

Killing the tire gap with fat tires < killing it with low offset and stretch

That is, when you get lower offset/wider wheels you will need to do a little bit of tire stretching to make it fit, not fatter tires

Help me understand you a bit more.

Yes, low offset + stretch = WIN and fatter tires = Lose but idk how no tire gap VS stretch plays out. Right now for me stretch > no tire stretch but sometimes I feel like doing anything to get rid of the gap lol. And if I were getting taller tires it wouldn't be "Fat", just 225/40 which isn't extreme.

I don't have any issues with fitment or any questions regarding what will fit.
But it seems like you were about to suggest an amazing idea to kill the gap but then you didn't. :frown:

I have a 25mm/.87" gap though. Any suggestions as to how to kill it? Coils are maxed out on rears (shock and preload) and maxed out front shocks but haven't tampered with preload. I have an inch of clearance before piping underneath so I don't really wanna try lowering any further except for a show or something.

And just because your offset is lower and your wheels are wider doesn't necessarily guarantee that tire gap will be eliminated. It's true that if you go wider tires then your tire profile will be also increase but since I'm going for stretch as well, my best chance at killing the tire gap (which is the worst stretch) for 9.5's will decrease my gap by about 17-20 mm. Which is still good but I'll still have 8-5mm tire gap. Unless I'm doing my math wrong

Sorry if this isn't what you were saying. And I'm open to anyone's advice!

Lower offset eliminates the gap. No other way to specify it.

So 19x8.5 + 20 will eliminate your gap. Can run spacers to achieve this.

19x9.0 +30 will eliminate it.
19x9.5 +35 will eliminate it.

I'm not saying you need stretch to eliminate the gap. Once you try to run a more aggressive setup, trying to be as low as you are now, you will need to run stretch for the tires to clear the fender

Have you gotten the rear rolled/trimmed? You will need to do that too.

Because, as I take it, eliminate all gap = herrafrush

As for suggestion: 19x9.0 +30ish with 235/25/19 or 235/35/19. 40 profile sounds too high for herra frush 19's

Alphapig - PM'd you. I dont understand how simply offset will eliminate gap without adjusting suspension or increasing tire profile. Tire gap is this way ^ while fender flush is this

Replied man.

Wide wheel + low offset + very low (lots of camber in the rear) REQUIRES stretched tires with low profile to FIT the tires inside the fender. This way the lip of the wheel sits very close to the fender.

All your setup needs is lower offset. I mean it. Try putting 20mm worth of spacer between the wheel and the hub (washers, whatever works). You will see that, being as low as your car is, you'll need to run stretched tires with low profile to barely clear the fender.

Updating with the epic pic you made.

Shows the theory behind camber and fitment pretty well, green lines indicate movement/clearance

ok heres my issue i want as flush as possible but no rubbing. I have teh ed fenders up front so i CANT roll or anything. Ide rather not roll on the rear and have them sit a lil wider than the front but flush all aorund is ok too. I want the 19s alex has BUT i want a beefy a** tire so that they wont get killed by NY roads. Unless you think 18s with a big a** tire could still be flush enough and look sporty. Remember im doing matte black slammed on white rims so you have an idea of what i want :mike

This set up would be sick with white wheels and matte black body, haven't seen anything like that out there. Alex's set up is hella clean too!
