Hey does anyone know if headlights for a 05-06 G35 sedan would fit an 04? I can't seem to find any I like that advertise for an 04 sedan without $1000 price tags...

http://www.amazon.com/2005-2006-Infinit ... uctDetails

These were the ones I was looking at, but I can't seem to find any way of contacting the manufacturer. Also want to know if they work with factory HID or not, and if they come with bulbs. Has anyone installed these/have them on their G? Or does anyone have any other recommendations? I want to upgrade or replace the lights soon because the old ones are still yellowed/hazy even after using a restoration kit . Plus I have to replace a bulb on both sides(the drivers' side burnt high beam which I use frequently, and the passengers' side HID flickers intermittently) and since changing bulbs is a project in and of itself... I wanna figure this out before I go through the trouble.

The 03-05's do not have HIDs, that was a feature added in 06 iirc. HIDs require a power supply...so there is an extra box to power up. Not impossible, just need to do some modifications.

You sure? I think I have HIDs, and I know the low beams aren't halogens...

Yea definitely HIDs... found the ballasts below the headlights... So would it be easier/better to switch over to halogens and install something like this

OR convert the aftermarket light to HID low beams with the parts from the ones I have now? Or the other kit I linked? Or should I give up and stick with what I have now and just get new bulbs?

Are you sure it's not a xenon? The below was taken out of the FSM.

Can you take a pic?

FSM: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/Sedan/2 ... dan/lt.pdf
XENON HEADLAMP
Xenon type headlamp is adopted to low beam headlamps. Xenon bulbs do not use a filament. Instead, they
produce light when a high voltage current is passed between two tungsten electrodes through a mixture of
xenon (an inert gas) and certain other metal halides. In addition to added lighting power, electronic control of
the power supply gives headlamps stable quality and tone color.
Following are some of many advantages of xenon type headlamp.
The light produced by headlamps is a white color comparable to sunlight that is easy on the eyes.
Light output is nearly double that of halogen headlamps, affording increased area of illumination.
The light features a high relative spectral distribution at wavelengths to which human eye is most sensi-
tive. This means that even in the rain, more light is reflected back from the road surface toward vehicle, for
added visibility.
Power consumption is approximately 25 percent less than halogen headlamps, reducing battery lo

Yea they are xenon, but they require the HID control unit(ballast) bolted to the bottom of the headlight assembly. Which classifies them as HIDs. Which means none of the aftermarket kits currently for sale are compatible with my car unless I convert the kit or revert my G to halogen low beams.... I just want to find out which way would be the best way to proceed, or if I should stick with stock and get new bulbs...

Gotcha. I would think that replacing the entire unit would be the easiest...but not the cheapest. So it depends on your skill level and how much you're willing to spend.

The link below lists the 2004 G35 Sedan as having Halogen bulbs...maybe yours are aftermarket/modded? Can you take a pic?

...or you have a 2004.5 model with the 2005 style lights!

Why does it seem so difficult to upload pics to the forum? For now at least, I think I'll just get new bulbs and live with the stock lights. Mostly because I'm overly critical about their appearance(the clear lens only looks terrible in direct sunlight) but also because I prefer to keep more of a sleeper vibe and blend in with all the other Gs the same color driven by old ladies and people with no balls... I mean, someone has to shut up all those stupid c_cks showing off in civics and preludes with those damn fart-cans. But I digress... I got some Sylvania performance bulbs coming in for the fogs/high beams and a pair of 6000k xenon HIDs off amazon that seem to have good reviews. Figure I'll try them out and let ya guys know if they're any good.

Cool. To post pics, you need to host them on an external site (I use photobucket.com). Use the link they give you, and copy.
