Maybe you should think about painting the fog housing to black or at least a darker color so it won't stand out so much.

Maybe, my car takes such a pounding from stones. I'm not sure how my paint would hold up. It might look worse. I have to pick up some flat black for my chopper frame, I'll probably end up giving them a quick shot.

Update - 1-15-08:Tonight I finished the light mounts in the blank bezels and put in the dash switch. Also painted the front bezels black, they look a lot better.

I bought a heavier piece of aluminum (1/2" wide) and remade two of the three mounts. Now the mount is quite solid. The "Z" shaped piece I left in the light gauge aluminum which will help get them aimed.

I installed an old Hella switch beside the I-key fail-safe. The switch from Radio Shack was all wrong, too big and a friction fit, not my favorite. Not an OEM looking switch, but that location is fairly unobtrusive. Pix below.

Now, I have to run a wire into the cabin from the engine bay. Can anyone offer a proven location. A quick glance from the engine bay shows no opportunities and from inside the firewall nothing jumped out at me. I didn't pull back the insulation, hopefully a grommet is under there? No wonder the interior is so quiet! The firewall on my Accord sure wasn't insualted like that, in fact not at all.

If I remember correctly, I thought I saw a couple rubber grommets along the firewall on the driver side which I'm sure you can run through. Or was I dreaming? If you can't find anything, you're going to have to drill It hurt when my car was 2 weeks old and I had to drill holes into the doors. Oh yeah, you had to do the same as me, right?

"Autoconcept" over on the NissanClub forum did a great pix/write-up on the task. There is a grommet where a large wire bundle goes through the firewall. I'll pull my wire this evening. I looked at that bundle last night and figured that would be the acess, but it was too late to continue.http://s140.photobucket.com/al...5.jpg

You can also run the wire up through the front fender and run the wire in to the cabin along with the wire bundle that goes from the door in to the cabin. I made a very small incision in the grommet holding the bundle of wires and fed the wire through to the fuse block and I mounted my relay under the dash. I then was able to tap into the fuse block to power my switch.

Here's a shot of the final install, with the trim rings painted black.

I think I'm going to go this route cus I spent like 2 hours yesterday messing with the grommet (from that write up) and trying to get a descent hole inside the foam with no avail. I think that write up is from a 3.5 se cus on the 2.5 s the wiring going from the engine compartment into the cabin is farther back behind the tower so i couldn't even get my hand back there to feel around for the screwdriver I stuck from the inside.

I was very concerned sticking a coat hanger thru that grommet and potentially damaging a wire on the other end. Seemingly, I didn't do any damage but would not put anything else thru that grommet. I left some of the power wire coiled inside the dash. If necessary, I can undo the coil, tape on another wire and gently pull both thru the gromment. This should cover any future wire needs with no damage. (learned that trick pulling wire in the house) If you haven't pushed something thru the grommet from inside, I'd go the wheel well route.
