I don't really like the look of the dual and the performance probably isn't as good due to the friction losses in the splitter, muffler inlets, and muffler outlets. I know that's a factor of exhaust velocity, but in general the less bends the less head loss.
According to numerous reviews, both the N1 and the N1 dual have top-of-the-line performance. You just can't get much better, even with no exhaust. Theoretically, the dual will be better than the single. Why? Because head losses due to bends/expansions/contractions/etc. go up with the square of velocity. With 50% more flow area, you decrease head losses by about 56%.
But either way, you won't be dissapointed. The dual will of course be a bit quieter, but if you like the single, get it. The dual has some issues with certain rear swaybars.
Btw, it is interesting you like the look of the single better than the dual. I chose the dual because I thought it looked better than the single. Not so Hondaish.
