well i guess you cant have two things on the rpm signal pin 7 for my rb26. if i have a SAFC and a autometer tach hooked up at the same time it like cancels them both out. but if i just have the safc on there or just the tach they work.

so i guess i will just leave the safc hooked to the pin 7 wire, so does anyone know another place i could hook the Tach up to?

thanks

You can't just splice the tach signal wire into both units? Don't both units operate off of a 0-5V signal? Sounds fishy.

Either way, it would have been more helpful if you just continued your original thread so all the info is in one place.

nope, as soon as both wires are on the signal wire they both go dead.... yea it doesnt really make sence to me ether...

and what original thread? the only other one i have made was about a driveshaft.

and i will look into the dakota box, but i really dont plan on keeping the afc very long, its just to get me by till i go PFC. but i would like the tach to work till then lol.

Then there is another thread about this exact same problem with an autometer tach and the signal not being there. Let me look for it real quick.
