Yes, Phase2 is a well established shop...AFterdark is new, and still trying to get there..give it time, in a year or two you'll have a better idea of what kind of service they are offering.

I don't understand why people feel the need to get on the forum and complain about afterdark. I have just over 7k w/ adam right now in a S15 front and S13 redtop plus other goodies i sent over there to be installed and tuned. Yes it's taking a long time it hasn't been a year but it has been around 4 months. How I see it is if you have money w/ him and don't want to wait get it back don't get on your computer and complain to everyone just go w/ someone else. If you have money in it and don't mind the wait then continue waiting and hoping that your work will be done the way someone who's an enthusiast about the car would want it to be done. All this whining and trashing on adam's shop isn't neccessary at all

I am not complaining, I am just pointing out my experiences thus far with Adam. Maybe in a year things will be different, but this is how they are right now...

I don't understand how someone can be so busy that they can't even return a phone call.

Adam(Afterdark) has $13,000 of mine, and I've yet to receive my product. That isn't a big deal with me, I understand things come up and some things take longer than expected. In the last five months, I've called nonstop and I've talked to Adam on two different occasions. Both times, he gave me the runaround about when I would be receiving what I ordered. In the last month, I've made it a point to call over a dozen times a day, and I've yet to get an answer. He also fails to respond to emails and instant messages, yet finds the time to post on the forums. I finally got in touch with him at the beginning of July, and was promised a full refund if he didn't have the item by August 1st. It's now August 8th and I've yet to talk to him on the phone, and he continues to ignore my emails. Adam may be a nice guy and a good friend, but he's also inconsiderate and incredibly unprofessional. I find it very hard to believe that someone who instantly answered every question I had, and picked up the phone on the first ring, became incredibly busy and never had the time to even return a phone call once he received my $13,000.

I'll let you come up with your own opinion about Adam.

AZ and Fred - sorry, I didn't know we were limiting talks to customers exclusively. I can understand that you are tired of it, but I feel that people have a right to discuss (though not so much complain) about a company's service so that others can be made aware of whats going on. I was trying to help out yellow, though I don't know how successful I was. I'll refrain from touching the subject from now on if that helps though.

I'm with you Reno....

I respectfully disagree with this new "rule". I think it defeats the purpose of the forums. We are a community that is supposed to share info and help one another. Yes, I think the complaining is out of line and the WRONG way to go about things... but I've been guilty of it too... so I won't dispute that point. I question the motives behind this kind of rule.

I have to agree with AZ. This discussion has turned pointless with everyone weighing in on the subject matter. Opinions are like... Lets stick to the facts and not hearsay.

As a customer you have certain tools at your disposal and are entitled to certain legal recourses. If as a customer you feel that you have had enough, I suggest you look into other methods of dealing with this situation outside of NICO. I am going through refresher training on “customer attentiveness” at work and this helps hit home what I have been learning.

One less member - No problem.

Listen - I'm sick of explaining myself to you guys. The bottom line is this: If you haven't done biz with the man, you don't know crap. All you have is hearsay. And an opinion. And we all know what thet's worth.

Understand this: I have NO desire to defend Adam or his business practices. I have said it 10 times - His biz will sink or swim based on its merits, and I could give a damn either way. And so could you, if you don't have $$$ invested with him.

The implication that we, as mods and admins, are "defending" him by not allowing an uninformed bunch of hooligans get whipped into a frenzy is both offensive and ridiculous. I would have deleted all the negative threads if I was defending Afterdark - think about it!

I would take the same action if my little sister started posting directions for performing an SR swap - If you don't know what you're talking about, then shut the hell up.

For those who are waiting for work to be done or engines to be delivered, pissing and moaning on this site isn't gonna make it go any faster, and i seriously doubt you're gonna "hurt" his business any more than it's already been. The company as it was no longer exists anyway, so there is NO real purpose for discussing it any further.

E-me off board if you wanna cry - I might respond if I have time. Better yet, go work on your car and quit wringing your hands over issues that don't involve you.

I have had it with having to defend my decisions to anyone here. I was selected to do a job, I'm doing it. Get the hell over it.
