1000 bucks for a drive shaft seems a LITTLE TO expensive, lol. Id say enjuku's aluminum is the way to go. Would be cool to say to a Z owner that you have a carbon fiber drive shaft also. :ylsuper

ditto that, though the carbon one would have some major nerd tech points. I think you can use the factory support as a nhra saftey device then.

you would have something flying under your car with one end still attached waiting to destroy anything in its path

Thats the beauty of carbon fiber driveshafts. They snap and basically disintigrate when they smack the bottom of your car. Much safer than conventional metal driveshafts when they snap.

How much does a driveshaft weigh? It's long but narrow. If you don't already have the lightest wheels reasonable for your car/budget, you might get better performance increases by putting your driveshaft fund toward some new wheels. Moment of inertia is proportional to the square of radius, so a 15" wheel has 25x the moment of inertia of a 3" shaft of the same mass (uniform weight distribution). Removing 1lb from each wheel has much more of an impact on acceleration than removing, say, 4 lbs of gas. And less chance of breaking new wheels than a CFRP driveshaft IMO.

Whos got a ******* LT1? I hope noone here. Its not a nissan if you have chevy power, then you cant even sport nissan power cause you dont have it. I have to admit to hear a v8 rumble in a 240 would be tight. My truck screams though, my f250 that is.

I just put in the enjuku racing peice, very nice. Only problem was the transmission sheild thingy that sticks outa the back around the driveshaft in the transmission had to be taken out, nothing major by any means. Feels much like installing a lighter flywheel, shifting becomes a bit easier too.-chet

YEA, I said sport nissan power. Racing is about going fast. I just think if you buy a car, keep it in its own league. I hate when I see civics with my front end, it pisses me off, or this one accord with R34 taillights and SKYLINE plates. HA

THANKYOU! Just the other day I saw a SR20DET in a miata....I wanted to shoot myself! But then I saw a Red S13 with a front mount intercooler driving on franconia. Black dude was driving, WHO ARE YOU!? I wanna see your car upclose if your reading this! lol. Then I saw about 20 civics and 20 tegs with mugen stickers, lol. If they buy a honda, they say " yo its tight dawg, check out them neon lights, yea man,off the hizzle, its got 115hp man and 20 pounds of torque, ill take anything, i just need those mugen stickers and neon blue squirters on the hood, and also some SKYLINE LIGHTS, extra HP man." AH!

you forgot the japanise letters on the shoulder pad for the seat belt that adds 5hp for "powerd by honda" and 5.4hp for "mugen"

A miata with a sr? now that is just wronge. he should have gone with the chevy 305 v8 conversion, then he could step on the gas and make it do a back flip.

this lil honda go to the market, this lil honda STAYED HOME, this lil honda had nitrious, this lil honda went BOOM!

Yea but 1000 bucks for a few pounds? How bout the junk in the truck you can take out. Scrape the tar from under your carpet, believe it or not but there is like 20 to 30 pounds of it! Back seats? Cant use them anyway, just have someone fab a peice of plastic to cover up all the metal to make it look good. Carbon fiber hood, my hood weighs more than a 85 caprice hood. If you drive a honda drain all your fluids out, oil, transmission fluid, brake fluids and such and watch your car fly!, new seats. I put the sparco REVS in my boys nsx and saved him 45 pounds.

Ummmmmm.......Why wouldnt it? If you asking if it fits on the SR and KA powered 240, then yes it will, they use the same type of drive shaft.
